You've probably guessed that we're a veterinary clinic and hospital for companion animals. However, we do things a little differently around here. Dr Melanie possesses surgical flair, clinical acumen and impeccable bedside manner-all in one neat, super-friendly veterinarian-shaped-package. Dr Melanie always has patient comfort at the forefront of her mind, being a strong advocate for low-stress patient handling (she also happens to be our resident cat whisperer).
The first time we meet most of our new patients is in a consultation at their first vaccination visit. We provide consultations for a huge range of problems including injuries and illnesses, routine health checks, vaccinations, seniors care, behaviour problems and much more. Anything that bothers you or your pet and affects their quality of life - there is no problem too big or too small for us to handle.
Regular Vaccinations are an extremely important part of your pet's preventative health care program. All puppies & kittens need a course of vaccinations. Young healthy cats & dogs should have an Annual Health check at which time appropriate annual vaccinations are usually given to prevent serious disease.
Dental disease is one of the most common diseases in cats and dogs in and around Richmond. Not only is dental disease painful for your pet, but the increased bacteria in their mouth can be associated with other conditions such as kidney disease, heart disease, and liver disease. As many as eight in ten pets have dental disease!

Incredibly disappointed with the overall experience.
After switching vets to try and find one we could build a good relationship with, we tried swan Street vets.
At first everything was going well with the initial appointment but mid way through my dog was given a flea treatment (bravecto) which I thought was fine.
We then spoke about other treatments before I asked if it was possible to get these products elsewhere and to which I was told yes that was possible.
Once we had paid I left the vet and Googled the price of the Bravecto and found out i was charged almost double what you can get it

We have no hesitation in recommending Swan St Vet - our dog has always been so well cared for during his visits, despite his anxiety! I really value Swan St Vet's fear-free approach to quality vet care, including being patient with our little anxious man. I know our little man is in the best of hands when he visits and he LOVES all the staff. We are very thankful they are our local vet, they have always been reliable, professional and kind :-)

Swan Street Vet were lovely and were able to fit my dog Cyril in last minute. Clean and vibrant front of house and also the animal rooms. The vet was really nice and helpful, explained everything and gave Cyril a quick check up. He thoroughly enjoyed his time there and they're a Best for Pet vet so that's always a plus if you're a member!

What a great vet! Very happy with the service given to my fur friend. Melanie our Vet was very informative and made my cat very comfortable. We recently visited Swan Street vets for our Frenchie, Shola.
We called Saturday morning and had an appointment within the hour.
Alice was our vet for today and I couldn't speak more highly of her, she educated us on all possible scenarios and the best direction going forward.
You can tell just speaking with Alice for 20 minute's she is highly skilled in her role, not only that she wants what's best for owner's and pups😊.
Myself and my partner left the vet, saying "bloody hell she's good"

The staff at Swan Street Vet are incredibly caring, generous, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. The level of customer service, care and treatment provided is always amazing and of the highest standard and quality. They provide constant invaluable communication and informative advice on issues. Their concern and frequent follow up phone calls to… check on progress is greatly appreciated. Their service definitely does not stop when you leave the appointment. I strongly recommended this vet! Thank you for always taking such good care of my fur baby.
