Services
We work as a collegiate group using each team member's strengths to deliver the best for our client's needs. Sometimes we may suggest an internal referral. At other times we will recommend an external referral especially the more difficult surgeries and diagnostic procedures. Our Nurses are an integral part of the team and work collaboratively with our Vets to offer you an efficient service of a high level high.
We are a CALM CLINIC with separate waiting areas, consult rooms and hospital wards for cats and dogs. The amazing people at Bark in the Park host PUPPY PRESCHOOL at our premises on a weekly basis. Ask reception on how to enrol your puppy. Village Vet provides DESEXING for cats and dogs to ensure a long healthy life for your pet.
Shelley runs Tails of Toorak Dog Grooming from Village Vet, where she looks after dogs of all shapes and sizes. If it is your puppy's first haircut, Shelley makes sure that the puppy has a great time, and feels relaxed in the grooming environment with other dogs. Best of all, ALL dogs get a head massage when they have a bath, and there is no extra charge for it.
Village Vet has an in-clinic cat boarding service, especially for those cats that require daily medication, and a little bit of extra care. Our staff will look after your cat's needs - from feeding to medicating, to even giving them cuddles and some play time in their play room. With a full veterinary staff on-site you can relax knowing that you fur baby is well looked after!
Bark in the Park (BITP) is more than just a dog training service, they are dog training specialists. Their team consists of qualified, friendly, professional, and experienced dog walkers and trainers. Their aim is to improve the human-animal bond in order to help nurture your relationship with your dog.

Excellent place. Dr Rod and co are amazing and very nice and caring. When one of my dogs was hit by a car they took him in straight away without any mention of money and they let me pay it off in such a circumstance and I did. I’ve referred a few people here that were not getting results elsewhere but had their money reefed from them continuously but Dr Rod sorted them out with correct diagnosis in 1 visit. Great place. I cannot leave another review but came back to say the amazing dr rod did it again and saved my little guys life as he nearly died and wasn’t looking good but due to

As a current veterinary student and future veterinarian I cannot speak highly enough of this clinic. The veterinarians and nurses are extremely knowledgeable, compassionate and caring. Emphasis is placed on great client communication. I have taken my two kittens here on multiple occasions and will continue to do so! The separate cat waiting room is such a fantastic feature of this clinic - it means my kitten's trips to the vet clinic are always enjoyable experiences for all of us!

Having now visited the Village Vet, I'm happy to know there's an efficient, reputable vet so close by.
Two standout features:
1) E-mail appointment reminders, with links that allow you to very easily book your next visit online. It literally took 15 seconds to schedule a time that worked for me.
2) A free 30-day pet insurance trial, plus personalized advice from the vet re: her provider of choice and why. Really important info that can save $$$ on vet bills long term.
Our vet wasn't the snuggliest person on earth - she was somewhat matter-of-fact - but was very thorough, gentle
