Dr Friis has worked at Brisbane Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre (BOSMC) since it was founded in 1989. The clinic is located on the 6th floor (Wickham Terrace street level) of the Brisbane Private Hospital. Brisbane Private Imaging is also on the same floor, with MRI facilities on the 5th floor.
The hospital has private consulting suites for a great number of orthopaedic surgeons covering all sub specialities. Consultation, diagnosis, imaging and referral can all be arranged under the one roof. Dr Friis was educated at the University of Queensland and was awarded a Fellowship of the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians in 1991.
