Dr Abhi Varshney is one of the founding doctors of the Bowen Hills Medical Centre. Locally trained, Dr Abhi is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and winner of the 2009 RACGP Registrar of the Year Award, which is a national award acknowledging Dr Abhi's commitment to GP training.
Our doctors are specialty trained and fellows of the RACGP (Royal Australasian College of General Practitioners). They are trained to recognise a broad spectrum of illnesses and have extensive knowledge of general medicine. Their expertise in general medicine allows them to identify common medical issues and appropriately treat them.
Our system is based on 15 minute intervals to ensure that your health needs can be adequately addressed. Should you require a longer consultation for the discussion of complex medical issues, multiple medical problems, work place/insurance medicals, or minor procedures such as pap smear, mole scan and/or mole/cyst removal please let our friendly receptionists know.
All patients are strongly encouraged to follow up on their test results. Our staff will often call you to organise review of your results, however we encourage patients to take an active role in managing their own health. Appointments are required for referrals to specialists and hospitals. Under Medicare law it is illegal to back-date referrals and therefore our doctors cannot do this.
Behind the centre there are clearly marked "Bowen Hills Medical Centre" parking spaces, as well as, visitor parking spots that are available for visitors to our complex. We are also conveniently located approx. 500m from the Bowen Hills Train Station and 400m from the Royal Brisbane Busway.

Unprofessional place, l had a booking for 2:45 today when l arrived the girl at reception told me that my booking wasn't book in but l had a booking confirmation where were write down 2:45 ( by same girl ) so she just told me to wait outside. Waited for 1H, l started to feel uncomfortable l went to reception and asked how long l should wait if l already got booking? She couldn’t help just told me lm in the system already???!! And doctor called my name so thats why it says so. But it was a lie
