Friendly staff, I went there to have lunch and ordered the Angus eye fillet and red wine jus, steak portion was small for the price the red wine jus was absolutely Devine the meal was served with salad which was nice as well but could of had a little more dressing. I do recommend this hotel for a nice meal.

Meh. The beer range is lacking, the noise is unpleasant in the back, and unfortunately the only place to sit with children. Really hope they get that beer garden sorted. Until then, might stick with the oaks while we have kids

This is a pub!
It serves meals.
The other day I went to a Balmoral restaurant, many stars indeed, local or imagined and the food served up ranked second to the fare served up at Mosman Hotel.
Well done staff and chefs at the Mosman, you may order at the bar but the food and service never disappoints.
Thank you.
Upper duck indeed.

Had a meal upstairs in the restaurant with friends. You order your food and drinks at the bar, no dividing up the bill which is great.
Food and service were excellent. This was our first time and will definitely go again.
Note we found it a bit noisy inside.

I love coming here! The food is very reasonably priced, the steak and schnitzel are delicious. They have a pretty extensive menu and most items I have ever ordered have been good. Would highly recommend for a nice meal.

Cant go wrong with little less than 10dollar steak with few sauces to go with it and a mashed potato or chips. The place is always busy every time i would go so its better to make a reservation prior to going especially if you are coming as a group. The restaurant has tv’s and some good selection of beers and alcohol. I have taken picture of some of the prices for your reference. I definitely recommend this place for their cheap but quality steaks.

We have enjoyed dropping in for a drink and a meal at the Upper Duck more than once. Both are well priced, the staff are friendly and the air-con welcoming. Porter House Steak was perfectly cooked and Lamb shanks fell off the bone. Also enjoyed a light dinner another evening sharing the cauliflower salad and garden salad.

There really isn't all that much to complain about this pub, though the fact that I am opening this review with the word 'complain' probably also suggests that there isn't all that much about it that really appeals to me either. Well, as it turns out, no, there wasn't really all that much that did appeal to me, except for the upstairs area, which I only discovered after I had finished my beer. Okay, there isn't all that much upstairs either, except for the balcony, but then again the view from the balcony isn't all that great either. I guess I'll just leave

We don't quite get this place. It seems a bit worn with an older crowd, yet they manage somehow to to serve a really good steak, choice of sauces, on a bed of mashed potatoes for $9.90. Again, the steak was really good and would be much, much more expensive anywhere else. We can't figure out how they can do this, but we didn't look the gift horse in the mouth and really enjoyed our meal.

Great steak, friendly service, $10.00. Who would have thought? Definitely another visit is in the cards.

Honest meal, worth going if you're in a large group with a budget. They also use quality beef.

A great place to grab a beer and sit out on the balcony, and people watch.

The food here has improved. Typical pub style food, reasonably priced. The steak here is fantastic!

I gotta say I'm not much of a 'pub person".. Not a fan of noisy crowded bar areas , cramped surroundings of "jostling patrons' and especially not a fan of mediocre food..which is why this place was such a pleasant surprise..as it had none of the aforementioned..Instead it had spacious comfortable seating areas (there is a special area which is both kid & family friendly), in a usually (save for a special sporting event night ) a not too noisy surrounding makes it a very enjoyable pub to have a beer & a meal if you're "in the area' .The food being

Amazing steaks at a price of $9.90. I couldn't make steaks at that price. All of their food tastes amazing, definitely a place worth visiting.

I actually don't mind this place. I've been here twice and while it's certainly not the best pub from a decor or experience perspective the burgers are genuinely good and there really aren't any other decent options in Mosman.

First things first: the signs out front saying $7.90 steaks are out of date, the steaks are now $9.90.

That makes me sound like a mad tightass, but in the interests of factual correctness, you know, someone has to point out these things. Maybe send a glassie out there with a Sharpie to turn the 7 into a 9 or something.

And look, the steak you get for that price is damn good, it's a juicy 300g Porterhouse on a bed of mash with your choice of sauce (pepper. Always pepper.) And that's available 7 days a week.

There's heaps more on the menu - my friends had the Atlantic salmon

I've been here a few times. This is the type of place you go for a cheap pub meal alone or with a few friends. Definitely easy going atmosphere... nothing fancy at all. The food is decent. The outdoor seating area upstairs is a nice place to sit and have a few drinks. Inside (downstairs) is a little bit stuffy.

The $7.90 steak is hit or miss. Go into it with mediocre expectations because it can be a tough cut, so I'd get it done rare or med-rare (they tend to overcook the steak a bit anyway). All in all, decent food and can be a fun place to come with friends for drinks and

Very enthusiastic friends arranged dinner here one night - it's fantastic, they raved, steaks for less than $10!

Yeah, ok, well maybe it's a cheap steak. But I could cook one at home for $10 too, and wouldn't have to deal with the hordes of screaming children that seem to accompany $10 steaks. It probably settles down later in the evening, but I figure it's the sort of place to take the kids, so going too late for the kids defeats the purpose.

Should have known there was something odd about the place when I saw the oddly clad promotional ladies waving placards at the passing

Unfortunately for them I can put my finger firmly on what is wrong here...this place lacks atmosphere. It's inoffensive but also unexceptional.

What it gets right:
- Really decent food affordable pub food. We're in the $5 steak territory.
- Upper Duck (the upstairs bar) has nice lighting at night for date night.
- Pool table.
- Easy going atmosphere. No pretensions. Generally feels friendly.
- It's clean and tidy (setting the World on fire here!)

What it gets wrong:
- The poker machines and smokers are pretty much the first thing you see from the street. Not a good look.
