Chose this place as it was easy for my elderly relative to access with a walker. Barramundi and veges had great flavour, but the meal was swimming in oil, which ruined it. My elderly relative also made the same comment. One of the cakes we chose for dessert was okay, the other was quite dry and not very appetising. Iced coffee was very strong. Don't think we'll be returning.

Breakfast: Atmosphere is great. With rain falling it's a wonderful place to sit and pass the time. However....
Slow service. Food average. No wow factor and for the price it's hard to justify it. Could be the best place around with a menu change, a price review and focus on cracking service. Venue is great. Don't immediately discard it as an location, but be aware. Good for a group.

Mother's day lunch was a disaster. Booked table was not ready, 30min wait for it to be ready. Had to ask to order 25mins later. Then another hour wait for food! The table beside us had been there for 2.5hrs. the price of the meals was high and the food was less than average. Some eggs had to be sent back as they were over cooked and the toast was like leather. We won't be going back. I don't recommend this place.

What a disgrace! After waiting 20 minutes for ANY service (it was not busy) the staff, who clearly hated their job, treated us though we were an inconvenience at every interaction. The food was below average for the price, one vegetarian option and very little option for meat eaters. I had the vegetarian gnocchi which was covered in a layer of oil and cheese, not appetising on the least!
Then the itemised bill was a list of items we had not ordered, when I pointed this out, the staff member stated that everything on there was the same price as what we had ordered and they always did it that way

I had heard great things about this place, but it seems quite evident that it has come under new management.
For example, the décor is very tacky, open plan, and almost seems like a dining hall. There is not much life in the place itself, which isn't helped by a very quiet Friday night service.
Also, the service was quite average. There were two servers on staff, one of which was fantastic. However, the other showed a lack of genuine interest in serving customers, and is quite slack with presentation. For example, serving food and drinks at almost tipping angles, as well as a disinterest in

Awful service and below average food. Wife ordered duck spring roles and was told 45 minutes later they were not available. I had the Thai beef salad - it tasted worse than it looked (and that's saying something because I've seen better looking salads at the local servo).
Took over an hour to get our food and the place was less than 10% full. Never did get tableware - had to get ours from another table. Don't waste your time or money.

What an absolute disappointment! First when I phoned to confirm my booking a day earlier they didn't have the right day booked - if I did not phone we would have turned up and nothing would have been prepared - and that's after they wanted a deposit from me when I originally booked.
My 5 guests were supposed to enjoy a afternoon high tea, but the food weren't prepared at a high standard - crusts half off, no attention to detail, not enough sweet pastries - it's like who's going to eat and who's going to watch, a huge supply of scones though - but we had to ask for jam and cream, because they forgot

Despite only ordering 'Light Meals' for lunch the portions were very generous. My pulled-pork burger was divine. My wife's pork belly with scallops was excellent. Even my two year old sons 'toasted cheese and chicken sandwich' was a classy affair.
About the only let down was the coffee - which I'd strongly recommend avoiding for the coffee snob (like me).
Otherwise the glowing reviews on here are well deserved.

I had my baby shower at The Nook last night and it was amazing!! The staff are so accommodating and friendly! The venue is absolutely stunning and although I only had some cake and coffee. I saw the food they were bringing out to the other people and lets just say, I will definitely be back for dinner. Presentation is stunning!!! Everyone at the baby shower raved about their cakes and I just loved my red velvet cheesecake too!! I really cannot fault them with anything and will definitely be back!!

Absolutely delightful meals! We attended for a birthday dinner with a party of 8 and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and presentation of meals. A little on the expensive side, but when you taste the food - it's all very much worth it. We'll definitely come back - I hear the breakfasts are amazing...
