Where do I start, I had to wait a few days before I posted my review because I have been a absolute mess....Don't get me wrong some of the staff have been excellent..The first photo was my first consultation for this injury as you can see its very minor, well swollen, the vet prescribed me antibiotics and pain killers, if it doesn't improve bring Bluey back..Well 2 days later it did start to improve during the day...However on Saturday morning when I woke because it was improving as you can see on the second photo Bluey was trying to scratch it during the night and made it worse. We have been going to the lake vet for two years with our border collie x kelpie Eddie. Eddie is a complex doggy and we have been trying to navigate his extra needs and learning along the way. Anthony has been… the most professional, calming and reassuring vet throughout he is understanding and makes each stressful vet trip for us as easy as it can be. I’ve never seen Lexi so excited to go to the vet! She absolutely loves going to Lake Vet and runs straight to the door when she realises where we are! The team are always so welcoming and make such an effort… with her. It makes all the difference especially when going with a sick animal. We were not happy with our previous vet who was gouging us after more than 20 years & not even doing the basics when we were seriously concerned about our lab's condition. Decided to get a second opinion from Lake Vet, quickly diagnosed our dog & now she is back to her old self. Very happy with the communication, cleanliness & price, they are now our vet.

Visited Charlestown clinic today for my Jack Russels annual shots. The distancing measures (for humans of course) the staff followed were first rate. Made me feel very safe knowing they are taking the threat of… COVID-19 virus very seriously. If you need a vet but are worried about maintaining social distancing then this team of professionals is the one to trust.

Went to pick up my cat from the Charlestown clinic and was greeted with a lovely woman at the counter (K/Crystal), she was friendly and patient with me (post-night duty brain af). While there, another person made snide and awful remarks directed at her for things out of her control and she held it together amazingingly — worth your weight in gold, C/Krystal, I would have thrown down if someone came at me that early in the morning. 🖤✌🏼

I've been taking my dogs to the Lake Vet Practice for over 20 years, and have always found them (both the vets and the vet nurses) to be compassionate and caring, as well as being up-to-date and excellent in their veterinary knowledge and skill.
I can't praise them highly enough!
