David completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree at Sydney University in 1985, and graduated with honours. His first position was in the Upper Hunter Valley where he worked in a mixed practice treating large & small animals including cats, dogs, horses & cattle. David spent 3 years overseas travelling & working based in Britain.
More puppies and dogs under 12 months of age are euthanased because of behavioural and socialisation problems than die of diseases or injuries. Recent research has shown that young puppies learn faster and have many less behavioural problems if they attend Puppy Preschool. The main aim of Puppy Preschool is to socialise your puppy with people and other dogs.

What should I do if I find injured wildlife? If you ever find any kind of native animal, bird or reptile and it is injured, please bring it down to us. There is no charge for doing this and we will have the vet examine the animal and hopefully send it on to the Wildlife Rescue Service. Alternatively, you can call the Wildlife Rescue Service direct on 0418 NATIVE (0418 628 483).
Your pet has been desexed, which involved surgery in a very sensitive area and therefore needs care for sometime after the event. Unfortunately animals do not always understand that they need your assistance for their recovery. When you pick your pet up from our hospital, they may be a little drowsy.

We regularly visit Rathmines Veterinary Hospital with our pup, Arlo. We started visiting as early as Arloβs vaccinations and attended puppy school.
As a puppy he has managed to get into all sorts of mischief but Dr David and all of the team are always very knowledgeable and professional, the best part is they take great care with Arlo which we love.

Rathmines Vets - Superstars
πππππ
I can't say enough about how wonderful Dr David C (Irish David), Nurse Hayley and the whole team have been to us this week. Dr D described it as the week from hell and that it was!
We have spent the last 5 days in and out of the vets and they are 5 stars! They are responsive, dedicated, empathetic and caring.
When we found out our cat needed emergency surgery Dr D opened his surgery late last night to do an emergency operation on her.
We brought her home this morning and she is groggy but sassy and we are unbelievable grateful for the help they
