Hi, my name is Paul. I have been a driver trainer since 2016 and I love it! After settling on the Gold Coast in 1997 and owning a Cobbler store for over 17 years, it wasn't until I taught a family member to drive that I found work that I truly enjoy. I am a qualified instructor as well as being qualified to train people to become instructors, so have experienced driving tuition from all angles.

I was also a cab driver in the UK for 6 years. I love teaching the brand new learners, those who have, never been behind the wheel before. With these learners, I get to experience the whole journey. It's always bittersweet for me when people pass, I know that's the last time we will drive together but I'm so happy for them, understanding what their new found freedom feels like!

Pricing Report

Driving Test Day package includes one hour driving lesson, full use of either the manual or automatic Achieve Freedom Driving School Vehicle to sit the actual test. Pick up and drop off plus walk through test centre, all paperwork provided so all you need to focus on is driving the car and passing the test.

Paul is a patient, knowledgeable and an excellent personality. I still remember the first day of my driving lesson, when I was stressed, nervous and on the edge. Paul helped me to calm my nerves with his practical tips which also helped me to boost up my confidence. Thanks to Paul that I passed my driving test on the first attempt with two examiners in the car 😰 I STRONGLY recommend to anyone who wants to learn from scratch or just take few lessons before the test.

I've been learning to drive with Paul for the past few months and I couldn't be happier with how I've progressed, and with Paul's work as an instructor.
Paul has improved my confidence greatly behind the wheel, something that was severely lacking prior to our lessons. I also have found him to be an attentive and easy-going instructor, something which has decreased my nerves while driving.

Paul is an amazing driving instructor. He is very patient, friendly and knowledgeable. I wasn’t very confident when I first started, but thanks to him I passed my manuals first go almost perfectly! Not only does he teach you the importance of safe driving, but also has good banter to make driving less stressful and more enjoyable. I highly recommend the pommy himself!
