The hotel has new management who are experienced local owners with an imaginative approach to hospitality. New ownership has meant huge changes as we continue to take our local icon into a new realm of dining, events and entertainment. The crowning jewel in this rejuvenation process is the new summer pavilion facade as well as the major interior redesign and renovation to the bistro and gaming areas.

Given the timing with everything shut, only referencing the room.
The room was really clean and in pretty good condition flood lights from the hotel storage and delivery area kept our room bright, which was annoying. Comfy beds and pretty OK bathroom.
Oh, and don't use the top shelf of the fridge, since it acts more as an oven because there's not enough ventilation around the fridge so our fruit and cheese came out hot. All in all though it's a pretty nice place with good parking and close to everything and the staff we saw were lovely. Cheers

Very impressed with the meal, the service and the dining setting. Our meals were spot on apart from a slightly over toasted garlic ciabatta. The baby snapper was sensational. The quality was better than many restaurants. Then to top it off, we saw an awesome live performance in the beer garden from a ripping Aussie band, Boy and Bear. A brilliant night all round.

Went wild here on NYE. Bundy Rum and Coke well priced. The no shots policy detracted from the experience somewhat, but equally probably added to my experience of the next day by from preventing me from being really stupid. Meal was good, always nice to be in a pub that has just been renovated using the money from all the pensions, and apprentices wages that have gone through the brickies laptops out the back.

We had dinner with a party of 9 (4 kids under 5) and 5 adults and it was fabulous. The staff were amazing, so lovely and helpful. Food was lightning fast for the kids and the adult's food not far behind. Great range and quality, everyone was happy with their dinners. And the kids play area is ALWAYS very appreciated!! Would highly recommend Torquay hotel for a family outing. Thank you!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Menu had an adequate range of foods and comments between the five of us who visited was that the food was quite good and interesting.
Seats were comfortable and tables spaced sufficiently apart that you did not feel crowded and lighting was good. Although not a busy lunchtime period (12/11/21), sound levels from other tables did not intrude at all. Very happy to revisit in the future.
