You'll find the hotel in Grovedale within the borders of the seaside city of Geelong. Depending on your mood, you can relax in any one of our three dining and bar areas. You can enjoy a pint and a parma while watching the game in our sports bar. Take in some live music, a craft beer and some pulled-pork sliders in our open-air garden bar.
And if those don't take your fancy, you can enjoy a meal from our restaurant menu at our flagship three-space dining room. And just in case you were wondering, all these venues can be hired for private and open events. No function too big or too small. Whatever it is, we guarantee if you have your function at The Grovedale it will be memorable.

Services
The hotel is owned and run by the Taylor family, who have a long history in the hospitality industry owning venues in Victoria and South Australia since the 1970s. The family's experience spans three generations of Taylors. And the current manager, Joel Taylor, is working on the fourth generation as we speak.
Our cleverly designed three-tier restaurant is perfect for intimate meals, family get-togethers and functions of all sizes. The layout is complemented by our appetizing menu, wide-ranging drinks selection and the friendly customer service we are known for. We've got a wide selection of drinks to match your dining options and personal tastes.
Not only that, but when the sun pokes its head out, we take the roof off so you can work on developing some nasty Ray-Ban tan lines in the sun while kicking back with a craft beer and great sounds. Our growing list of craft beers changes every month. But one thing stays the same - our commitment to bring you the latest and most exciting seasonal craft beers on offer.
If it's live, broadcast on Foxtel or free to air and we're open, we'll have it on screen for you. And you'll have the best seat in the house as our clubrooms are sporting more big screen TVs than Elvis's lounge. But it's thirsty work barracking for your team, so you're going to need a freshly brewed Unpasteurised Carlton Draught from our copper tanks to clear your throat and a char-grilled Angus eye fillet for strength.

Visited with my 2 daughters, son inlaw and 4 grandchildren. Staff were very good with the kids and very professional with the adults. Playroom was good and the little complimentary entertainment bags for the kids were excellent. The meals seafood pasta, salmon and nasi goreng were excellent. Definitely will be return customers.

Thanks to the Grovedale Hotel for a fantastic evening. We booked a table for 10 on Saturday night and wasn’t disappointed. Our waiter Josh was brilliant, looked after all our requests and was very friendly. The… meals were served fast and cooked to perfection. I especially loved the Lamb rack and pressed shoulder, melted in my mouth, I also had the Salt & Pepper squid which was super tender and tasty. My wife ordered the Arancini balls which is her favourite and they’re the best she’s had so far. The total bill for all 10 of us plus drinks was only $555.40 so overall

Great meal but downside was being charged for the holiday loading on a weekday. This would have happened if i had not pointed this fee of around $23.90 to the reception/ checkout who said ‘sorry about that’ snd removed the fee. I am sure thus cost was overlooked by many patrons who simply paid it without knowing, much to the delight of the Hotel.
Apart from a roast potato falling off the plate on delivery & not replaced, the meals were very nice for 5 persons.
It was a birthday as indicated & ticked on the booking form ( could not understand why the ‘is this a special occasion’ question

It’s been 12 months since We went to the Grovie. Thought let’s go give it a try. I understand covid has made it all a lot harder. But again we were left disappointed. Everyone’s meal was tasteless, other than mine (nasi goreng).
Told it was full table service, 45 mins later we got our mains order taken. The only positive is they are quick to get kids fed.
You probably would have easily got another $50 out of our table if we had of been asked for second round of drinks.
This place has so much potential.

I don't often give a negative review. I will not recommend you eat here. 12 adults with kids in tow out for dinner at a 6pm booking so the restaurant is not busy. All seated to take our drinks order. Then seated for our dinner orders. The meals come out haphazardly with the waiters having no idea which of the three tables the meals were going to. Every single steak was cooked incorrectly. Waited on a kids meal which came out last. The price they are charging for food does not even come close to the service and quality you should get with it. Go to maccas instead.

FOOD ALLERGY NIT TAKEN SERIOUSLY I come in with my son and grandson to watch the footy, have a drink and a meal in The Juke. When I ordered my meal, I asked Kalina if the chips were beer battered. I am anaphylactic to sulphites, an ingredient found in beer and many other food products. Her reply was “I don’t know” and left it at that. I explained… I have a food allergy and could she find out. She turned to a colleague (a bald gentlemen) who replied, “They used to be years ago but are just normal chips now. Do you need them to be battered?” I replied No definitely

Wait staff walking around with yellow vests with the words "Covid Marshall" is not exactly friendly. As an interstate visitor makes me feel like we are visiting a police state Even moving between areas there… were staff on walkie talkies telling each other where these elderly patrons were. Seriously unfriendly. Food was fine. .
