We also provide on-site consultation on your preferred design and budget objectives. This is a critical step as it applies to the approval and design of your new granny flat.
Absolutely not, we can modify one of our floor plans to suit your requirements, or custom design a floor plan from the beginning. Granny flat approval can take as little as 10 days, construction of your granny flat can take as little as 6 weeks depending of your granny flat design and size. The Average time for the entire process beginning to end is generally 10-12 weeks - environmental factors permitting.

The Hinchinbrook granny flat floor plan is the maximum allowable under the SEPP and most Sydney councils, at 60m2 this large two bedroom granny flat has built in robes, separate bathroom and laundry and clever kitchen design which includes a breakfast bar. The large living area opens onto the deck to increase the feel and appearance of Hinchinbrook.

It’s was a very effortless and easy process from start to finish. Couldn’t be happier. Builder is very professional, gives great advise but listens to what you want at the same time.
The fixtures and fittings were all of premium quality and the construction was finished without delay. So I could get tenants in there straight away.
No hidden costs at the end and no defects to deal with till this day. I highly recommend!

I rang up to ask a few questions and was rudely spoken to by the girl at reception, She then hung up in my face whilst i was still on the line, Poor customer service and poor communication skills. I am a tradie myself and will definitely be telling others to steer away. I can imagine what kind of poor work these people put out!!!

I have just completed my granny flat with Blue Gum. I am very very happy with my build and in particular, the pride of workmanship and high levels of customer service provided.
After speaking with a number of granny flat companies, I was so happy to have found the guys at Blue Gum. It's been one of my best decisions, choosing them to build my… granny flat.
Other companies treat customers poorly. One made me drive almost 80km to their showroom before even speaking to me. Another company wanted a $400 deposit before they would give me a quotation. No one was really interested in going down

Blue gum has gone above and beyond and has given advice on subdividing our land (even though this is not part of their main business). This will enable us to potentially build more than 1 granny flat in future and pay down our debt faster.
