If you require medical attention outside of our practice hours, you may ring our after-hours locum service for a home visit. If you are seen by a Doctor from the Home Doctor Service, a written report will be forwarded to us for inclusion in your records. For all medical emergencies call 000. At The Hub Family Medical Centre, we recognise the importance of you and your health.
To further improve our service to you, we have implemented a patient register for Preventative activities. This is a Reminder/ Recall system in which we will contact the patient by either mail or phone for follow-up of preventive activity such as skin check, pap smear, mammogram etc. We also offer the opportunity for patients to initiate these reminders/recalls being sent to them.
The Hub Family Medical Centre, is a mixed billing practice, offering bulk billing for children under the age of 16 and pension card holders over the age of 65. At The Hub Family Medical Centre, we aim to provide the best care for all patients throughout the community.
The Doctors in the practice can perform electrocardiograms (ECG), lung function testing (spirometry), hearing test (audiometry), blood sugar testing, pregnancy testing, instant drug & alcohol screening, international normalised ratio (INR).Blood collection for pathology, X-rays, CT scans, ultrasound, mammograms, and endoscopy/ colonoscopy tests can be arranged externally.

Consultation is by appointment. Patients presenting without an appointment will be accommodated the earliest available time. Urgent medical matters will always be dealt with promptly. If you have been delayed or will not be able to attend your appointment, please telephone the practice to reschedule or cancel your appointment.

Have been taking my family here for over 6 years where we have faced some serious medical issues . Over the last 12 months the service from the doctors has been outrageously bad unfortunately it’s been the doctor of my daughter ,from being left in a waiting room because we weren’t checked in to missing tests recommended by emergency Dept… doctors . The get them in and get them out as quick as you can attitude has certainly taken over, Telehealth calls where the GP doesn’t even have the information available that the call was based on , All at a time when my daughter needs

Fantastic kind doctors here, excellent with my little kids and empathetic and super helpful, Thank you.
The only problem I have is some of the reception staff. Not greeted when walk in and standing at the counter waiting to be checked in and often ignored. After my doctor appointment I went to the desk only to be again ignored by the two reception staff as they busily chatted away to themselves. Only when I put the clipboard down on the desk was I acknowledged.To be perfectly honest it isn't a great first impression when you have rude reception staff, and with that role you need to show kindness

I have recently become a patient of Dr Lucy Randall. I cannot speak too highly of her, or the team and facilities available at The Hub: many GPs, Dietician, Diab educator, podiatrist, pharmacist, treatment room, qualified nurse, gym, and there are more I am sure that I will discover as time goes by. Dr Lucy is an excellent investigative GP who will work with you to achieve optimal outcomes. She does not hesitate to refer you to a specialist if she feels this is the best way to get to the bottom of a problem. Dr Jamal Hussain has helped me explore alternative food choices when my 1st choice is mostly

Moved GP's to use The Hub Family Doctors recently and have a 100 % good impression. The resident GP's have a number of health-related units they can call on as well. e.g a gymn room, physiotherapy.
I recommend using HOT DOC app for bookings. It's easy to set up and the on-screen instructions are clear with a small learning curve.. Sign up/ Select a doctor / select your name /click appointments, (the docs available appointments for that, and following days, can be seen.) Select the type of appointment / confirm. An email or text (or both) arrives when staff confirm it's OK. A reminder also. IN

For the past say 12 years I have been using Opioids to help control back pain I have due to a severe car accident, and as you can guess the longer and longer I used these types of pain relief the stronger the dose I would need. It wasn't until near the end of last year that the GP who started me on these things that through education now know for… a fact that these are not medicine theses are a highly addictive drug that mask the pain only. Unfortunately due totally my fault from constant lying to my regular GP he could no longer could help me as a patient . This broke my heart he was not

As an anxious mum of three who have all had the flu, I highly recommend the Hub Medical Centre, the reception staff are wonderful and friendly and doctor Gadd in particular, fits our kids in even when we don’t have an appointment, he also assured me that he would always fit the kids in no matter what. What a lovely doctor. My mind is now at ease thanks to the wonderful staff at the Hub. Thank you kindly Dr Gadd.

I have been attending this medical practice for many years and have always been satisfied with their care and service. Recently, I have found myself in need of extra care medically due to an infection, and the management, Doctors and other staff have gone above and beyond to assist me and my family through this difficult time. I have a lot of healing to do but feel I am under the best care at The Hub medical centre. Highly recommend!

My husband recently joined this practice. On his first doctor's appointment he was left sitting in the reception area for over an hour.......nobody in reception noticed that he was a new patient and so neglected to direct him to the correct waiting area for his doctor. It was only when he asked about the delay that he was re-directed. No apology was tendered.
Today he asked for a podiatry appointment........again nobody noticed this would be a first appointment by a new patient....so he was not asked if he needed a referral from his doctor.This was later corrected over the phone. Again no apology

Have been a patient of the Hub Medical Centre for a number of years and have had exceptional service from the receptionists, nurses, visting specialists and practice doctors. You may have wait sometimes for your appointment but that is because the doctors take time to make sure 'all bases are covered' and you are comfortable with the results before you leave. Highly recommended.
