London-trained hairdresser, Deborah Paton established Orb hair in 1999, also adding a dedicated colour area and private beauty room in 2004. Deb has gathered around her a friendly and professional team dedicated to their craft - and to making your hair and beauty experience extraordinary. Deb and the team are just amazing, all of them made me feel very good from the beginning to the end of my visit to the salon.

I couldn't be happier with the result - her head massage and treatment was out of this world. Caitlyn was my stylist was on point. Served with mint tea and given a cool wash cloth on arrival and all staff were wearing masks due to the current Covid situation. I had a hair consultation and a quote for my hair colour and cut - so there were no surprises regarding the costs. Staff were all very friendly and professional and Keith did a fantastic job with my hair colour and cut. All in all, a great experience.

Pontus explained everything he was going to do, gave me tips and showed me how to achieve the results needed at home. The overall service by all staff was excellent. The tea and bubbles were a delightful surprise. The ambience was welcoming and luxurious. My first visit will not be my last.

I was greeted with mint tea in a crystal glass and a cool washer on a silver platter.
Then I had two consultations - one with the colourist and one with the stylist.
My cut and colour was completed within the time frame quoted and I left feeling heard, seen and beautiful.
The tea, coffee and sparkling is complementary and the scalp massages are so relaxing.

My experience with Orb was exceptionally good; great even. The culture is cool in style and warm in hospitality. The genuinely warm tone of Anna during my initial phone call left me knowing I was likely going to experience something special. I was right! The client services in Orb are nothing short of 5 stars. There is none of the pretentiousness which can sometimes come with a few salons, yet there is no shortage of the luxurious touches that set Orb firmly as a high-quality provider. I was actually quite blown away with how much I enjoyed my first visit at Orb. Like many of us, I have visited a lot of hair salons in my time but never have I felt the warmth and friendliness as I did here. At the moment I made the booking over the phone to then having that good service continue in salon today was a delight. The customer service was outstanding (so rare these days but is certainly what can make or break a business), everyone was very professional and you can see that the salon is run well because you notice how smoothly it all flows and how they all work as a team. I had my treatment with Charlie and couldn’t be happier with the service. Together we decided on a plan for my hair and colour, Charlie listened to what I wanted and whilst being able to give me her recommendation as to what would suit me best and be best for my hair. Everyone was so lovely! I was super happy with the result of my treatment and the service at the salon was super relaxing also!

Just had my first and last experience with Orb Hair. Was very excited as my husband had purchased for me a colour, treatment, cut and style package as a treat for valentine's day. Arrived early was greeted nicely and all went well until my stylist was blow drying my hair, I immediately noticed that there was an obvious line of colour difference about a centimetre from the scalp. I waited until I was sure that it wasn't just a single patch but across my head. My stylist said nothing and I eventually realised that if I also said nothing they would have let me leave without correcting

New Farm can be a touch place to find a cheap haircut, and if that's what you're after, Orb probably isn't the place for you. I like to go for the quality service and beautiful, airy salon, but only when I'm feeling particularly cashed up.
On entry you'll be given a herbal tea and a hand towel before your appointment begins. The stylists and colourists are all pleasant and knowledgeable. My results have always been good, however the overall costs always stretches out the time between visits. One of my favourite features of Orb is the opening hours - Tuesday to Thursday
