Each individual and set of circumstances is different, and our psychologists are skilled in selecting the type of therapy that is best suited to help and guide you during the healing journey.
We are one of the very few clinics in Melbourne and Victoria to work with clients suffering from psychosomatic chronic pain and other chronic and pervasive issues. A physical illness or other condition is defined as psychosomatic when it is "caused or aggravated by a mental factor such as internal conflict or stress".
Work stress and unsolved problems in the workplace have a major impact on people's quality of life. In this dynamic society, people work longer hours or even take work home, and then find themselves unable to disconnect from work and to spend quality time with their families and friends.

Some people become angry and frustrated because of conflicts at work, bullied and unable to stand up and express their opinions, or simply unmotivated to do their best.Stress is also a prevalent issue outside work, and triggers can be diverse, from financial problems to sick or over-tired children, relationship issues with the partner of other family members, deadlines and many others factors.
The rebate amount will depend on the type of therapist, and your gap fee (out-of-pocket expense) will count towards the Medicare Safety Net (designed to protect high users of health services from large out-of-pocket expenses). For more information see Medicare Safety Net on DHS website. You must bring a referral from a GP or psychiatrist.
With an increased prevalence of mental health problems in the current economic, political and social environment, organisations recognise the need to help and support their staff and employees live a better live, overcome emotional issues, address mental health problems and be as effective as possible in the workplace.
