Services
Our Psychologists and Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioners are registered to provide Plan-managed, Self-Managed and Agency-Managed Therapy and Positive Behavioural Support Services under the NDIS. All psychologists are registered to provide services under Medicare, private health insurance, TAC, Workcover, Victims of Crime (VOCAT) and EAP.
Your life can be significantly affected by problems like stress from work or study; feeling unmotivated; anxiety; low mood; relationship issues; coping with injuries or illness or experiences of trauma. Addressing these issues is essential to maintaining a fulfilling and enjoyable life. The fully-qualified and experienced psychologists at Healthy Minds can help you develop the skills needed to manage life stressors and promote good health.
Psychological trauma can occur as a result of being involved in, or witness to, an extremely stressful event(s). You may be eligible for a referral under Medicare or ATAPS to see a psychologist (see your GP). For those who have been the victim of, or witness to, a violent crime you may wish to speak to a lawyer about your eligibility for VOCAT (no cost to you).
Psychologists with Healthy Minds are highly experienced in counselling people who have experienced trauma. Many of our psychologists have under taken specialist training in trauma including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Healthy Minds psychologists also have extensive experience in liaising with lawyers who under take VOCAT applications on behalf of clients.
Psychological assessment uses a combination of techniques (including clinical interviewing and assessment tools) to help assess a person's capabilities and personality. Psychologists are the only professionals that are expertly trained to perform and interpret psychological tests. Healthy Minds psychologists use clinically objective and standardised measures to assist in the assessment of clients.
