The food and service is excellent. The management at the front desk are like Star Wars storm troopers.

We’ve stayed here previously and wanted to go past and have a coffee to see if it’s worth booking again. We were stopped at the door and refused entry as we didn’t have a reservation. Well done on ruining a great memory. Rude staff, wouldn’t recommend.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner last year in April and forgot to write a review! We LOVED this place, the food, the wine, the location, the walks and the pool! But mostly we loved our room, which was privately located and had the most gorgeous amenities and bathroom! We would recommend this to anyone looking for a luxurious and private sanctuary, there is so much to do and see we wish we stayed longer to see it all!

Heaven! The staff were calm, helpful and welcoming. Silky Oaks Lodge was incredible! The restaurant's food was 5 star, was able to get an exceptional picnic basket made up quickly. Played tennis surrounded by rainforest, then explored the surrounding creeks. The room was to die for, everything was incredibly luxurious and being able to swing gently in a hammock on a porch metres up from the forest floor was beyond what I could have imagined.

We are in port Douglas for a holiday and were thinking of staying at silky oaks lodge on our next visit. We stopped by to see the surroundings and wanted to have an afternoon tea/lunch at silky lodge. Wow what a disappointment. We were stopped after parking the car and asked if we had a reservation, which of course we didn’t...so the male employee told us that that’s not possible but go and see at reception . So we went to reception (two unfriendly female staff) and no smiling greeting and no warm welcome...just a flat no you can’t come and have coffee or lunch. We explained that we would

A lovely experience, there is so much to do just at the lodge including hikes, a pool and various kayaks or floating tubes. The massage that my partner and I got was amazing. I found the days I spent here was not enough because I had such a pleasant time and the staff were super friendly. I saw plenty of wildlife just near the rooms and on my way to breakfast or for a walk.

One of the best places I have ever stayed at. Great, friendly service. Good food very nicely prepared. Chef even changed one of his dishes as I'm not a keen fan of brussel sprouts.
The property has some nice walking tracks. A lot less touristy than nearby Mossman gorge. But they are tracks not footpaths. Just my style.

One of our favourite locations yet. We only stayed a couple of nights but the staff were so welcoming and incredibly helpful. When we had a medical emergency the team there went out of their way to make sure we had transport to the hospital, going as far as taking us there at silly hours of the morning. The manager and owner of silky oaks is an incredibly humble and generous man. He cares a lot about his land and how his guests experience their vacation ... every little things is thought about for you. Their food is delicious and their property is very well looked after. They’ve really preserved

Hands down the greatest place I have ever stayed! The staff are amazing, cannot do enough for you! Food amazing, facilities great! Tree houses are very secluded & we felt like we were the only ones staying there. Silky Oaks Safari was great too, tour guide Chris really knew his stuff & entertained with some snake catching stories as well. Highly recommend & we hope to come back again for longer next time! Loved every minute!
