Charla is a warm and friendly relationship counsellor with a PhD in flourishing relationships. With a research and teaching background in relationship science and positive psychology, she works with individuals and couples to facilitate fulfilling relationships. Her research has looked into preventive interventions in relationships, the impact of culture and religion on relationships, and the impacts of online dating.

Since consulting with David Mackay, I've felt significantly better in terms of being able to understand my thought patterns and remove my own judgment of them. He has taught me the concept of my emotions not being who I am, and techniques to create distance between my negative thoughts so they don't feel so overwhelming while increasing my confidence in my ability to cope with them. I always feel understood in my therapy and it's been so beneficial to discuss certain issues and process them in a calm and objective way.

My partner and I see Jeremy Gates, one of the Couples Counsellors at North Brisbane Psychologists. We wish we could give more than 5 stars. He has helped shift so many old ideas & baggage for us, particularly through the Gottman research based methods. We had tried another therapist (at another practice) but did not feel as listened to or heard or able to process things as effectively as we have with Jeremy. I saw all these life changing reviews and heard name from my GP about Jenny leing. I went to see her, she sounded very restless and she was in hurry to do something, her body was there but her mind and soul were somewhere, I kept talking but I felt that that my psychology was ignored, it could be her one of the day or mine.

Wanted to get in with Ingrid who is supposed to be great, but unfortunately the wait was months. Janet O'Donnell was free unfortunately. What a disaster of a psychologist, she now has a complaint against her for her 'skills'. Just do not book her... wait it out for Ingrid or Jenny. Or try somewhere else, there's plenty of wonderful psychologists around.

A caring team of highly ethical and warm practitioners. The psychologists I saw through the practice were able to provide support that was evidence based, with plenty of practical resources to share and take away. Their compassionate and empathetic approach was growth focussed . Highly recommend this practice .

I had the great fortune to have Dr Hannam as an Executive coach. Rachel created an environment in which I felt completely safe and challenged me in a supportive way that helped me grow both professionally and personally. I particularly connected with Rachel's compassionate approach (no blame games here) and her evidence-based approach to our sessions. From the moment I met Jenny Liang, I was welcomed with a sense of warmth and respect that made me feel "against my odds" there was hope. Her kindness, resources and ability over the last 3 years has been a reflection on her capabilities and the lovely person she is.
