Calmer Yoga
Martha on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. My name is Wendy, and I am a qualified Yoga teacher registered with Yoga Australia. Since discovering the benefits and joy of yoga for myself, I have loved being able to bring many people along this journey with me. I practice yoga because it grounds me, makes me healthier and stronger, and teaches me to listen, learn and find stillness within.

It brings calmness, balance and confidence into my life. My studio is small, friendly, with a maximum of 10 students. I also run a larger (still friendly!) I look forward to meeting you, and assisting you on your own path of self-discovery and inner peace.
Services
I was drawn to yoga at the age of 27 when I was pregnant with my first baby. From my initial contact with yoga, I discovered the enormous benefits not only from the physical aspects, but also from the inner awareness of being able to create harmony and balance in my busy life.

I completed my 500 hour Diploma of Yoga Teaching at the Viyett Centre in Hampton Victoria, an accredited course with Yoga Australia, and enjoy teaching gentle Hatha style yoga integrated with dynamic Vinyasa flow.I am also a qualified nurse and midwife, having worked in many paediatric settings, and also specialising for many years in mother/baby sleeping and settling issues.
My studio is in the garden of my home in Mt. Martha. I can take a maximum of 10 students in each class, so bookings are essential. The atmosphere is one of serenity and calm, creating an escape from your busy life. It is a warm place to cultivate a safe, challenging yoga practice, to sweat, smile, heal, let go, relax and help you further along this wonderful journey.
I teach Hatha Yoga classes, which align movement with the breath to develop strength, flexibility, calmness in the mind and greater awareness from within. A typical class starts with a short relaxation to centre yourself, focusing on breathing techniques ( pranayama), then moving through a series of yoga postures (asana) to increase flexibility, strengthen and relax the body.
Mother and Baby yoga classes are a wonderful way to form a special bond with your baby whilst enjoying some gentle yoga for yourself. Classes are informal and relaxed, allowing interaction with other mums and flexibility for you to attend to your baby as needed. No previous yoga experience needed. PLEASE NOTE: These classes are not currently running regularly.
If you have often thought about starting meditation, would like to find out more about it, or if you already practice it, I host regular MEDITATION AND RELAXATION evenings. We commence the evening with some stretching and breath work, followed with the practice of YOGA NIDRA, a deeply powerful way to relax and energise the body, and then finish with a guided meditation.

˜ Last Drop Coffee ♨️
Very small local coffee van with coffee banners you can't miss, on the coastal Rd, lots! of parking.. Good and delicious cuppa. Lady owner is very nice to see and talk to. She has talent to start others mornings off with a laugh.
Open/closing hours are small so get in between 5:30am and 9:30am, weekdays only. It is 1 of those "TOTALLY WORTH IT"! Mmm and long after taste effects that will give u a cheeky grin on your face haha.
I am 100% about this. I hope you taste what I'm on going on about, plz dont judge me, just a pom nutter obsessed with THE coffee.

I was one of the lucky 2016 Bali participants. What a great experience. For me, Wendy is the embodiment of the spirit of yoga in that in her joy in her own practice, as well as in sharing that joy with others is contagious.

Wendy is an inspirational woman who instantly makes you feel calm! She is a breath of fresh air and after every yoga or meditation session I feel 100% better, sometimes I feel like I've just had a massage! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wendy to anyone!!
