Namaste, my name is Sharryn and I have created Tara Yoga due to the increasing interest in yoga throughout the community and what it has to offer. I am an Internationally qualified Hatha Yoga and Dru Yoga teacher and a Level 3 Senior Registered member of Yoga Australia. Many people start yoga purely on a physical level to increase their flexibility and strength.

As time goes by they realise the benefits yoga has to offer and that yoga extends beyond the physical body. Yoga improves sleeping, concentration, posture and our general well being. Yoga also incorporates breathing techniques called Pranayama which help calm the nervous system and the brain. In the busy world that we live in you will feel refreshed, calmer, revitalised, more flexible, stronger and happier after attending a Tara Yoga class.

Yoga is for everyone no matter what your age is, whether you are fit or unfit, stiff or flexible and the best way to begin yoga is simply at the beginning in a beginners class. Our qualified instructors will introduce you to all aspects of yoga preparing you to attend any of the general classes when you wish to move on.
All of our Hatha/Slow Flow classes are taught by qualified teachers with their own unique personality shining through in their teaching. These classes are suitable for all age groups and ability including beginners. Both men and women are welcome in all of our classes. These classes include stretching and limbering the body in preparation for yoga postures (asanas).
This class is a beautiful combination of both Dru and Hatha yoga suitable for any age or ability. Beginners are more than welcome and also those who may have restricting injuries as alternatives are always given. Dru comes from the Sanskrit word dhruva, which refers to the stillness that can be experienced in Dru Yoga and Dru Meditation.
Yin Yoga is for those of us who may desire a more comfortable body to live in, both physically and mentally. Yin Yoga classes have a much slower pace, and the postures are primarily passive in nature. They are held and supported using props, anywhere from one minute to five or six minutes, in order to target the body's tight connective tissues, rather than muscle groups.
Finish your week with an awesome Sound Healing Journey by experiencing the two ancient sounds of the Gongs and Didgeridoo. Both instruments flow, combine and resonate beautifully together to take you on a journey of sound, energy and vibration. A short guided meditation helps to settle the mind as you spend the rest of the session listening and drifting with the different sounds around you.

Wonderful environment, feel amazing after my class.
Heaps of different classes, days, times and offers extra experiences like sound healing, meditation learning and more.

I have recently began to understand why I continue with my yoga practice as I can be a bit hit and miss with my attendance. I am really beginning to feel the benefits of yoga and meditation. Sharryn is so committed to your well being and sharing her knowledge of the benefits of yoga practice and meditation.

Sharryn is an incredibly warm, welcoming and inclusive yoga teacher. She is very thoughtful about her classes and teachings and always leads from her heart. She takes her time answering questions and is considerate in her answers which I tremendously appreciated, especially when I first started out. She has helped me on my path to trusting my body and also to listen to my inner voice. Also a special mention also to Izzy! Your yin class is absolutely amazing and I just love your Sunday class as well!

Huge thankyou for the Gongs and Didgeridoo meditation tonight. The gongs are beautiful, but the didgeridoo was absolutely next level. Half an hour later, I'm still buzzing from the incredible vibrations 😍

I’ve been going to Tara Yoga for a year now and I am reaping the benefits of a healthier body and spirit. The instructions are explicit and can be adapted to any ability level. It’s a great class and I highly recommend it no matter what stage of life you are in.

Sharryn is a beautiful soul who truely cares about her students.
From my first experience as a beginner to the wonderful sound meditations and events that she organises at the studio. Every experience I’ve had there had been an absolute joy and I always leave feeling relaxed, recharged and blissed out ❤️

Sharryn's warm and caring nature makes all who visit Tara Yoga feel comfortable and welcome. As a teacher I have great respect and admiration for Sharryn and her knowledgable and dedicated team of instructors who are always considerate of everyones needs, capabilities and limitations. Various forms of yoga are offered and having tried Hatha, Dru,… Vinyasa and Yin I have found all forms to be presented in a clear, friendly and supportive manner with options for all abilities. Tara Yoga is a wonderful asset for the local community and provides a sanctuary to unwind, to learn and to practice

Tara Yoga is a beautiful sanctuary for yoga and meditation in Ellenbrook. Sharryn has created such a lovely space and she and the other teachers are caring, compassionate and experienced in accommodating students of all abilities. After visiting multiple yoga studios across Perth I couldn't recommend Shazza at Tara Yoga any higher. Being a yoga beginner myself, she took the time to ensure my technique was correct. Very professional and accommodating service for yoga enthusiasts of all levels. Will definately be returning!
