You are welcome to borrow a yoga mat for the first few weeks, but if you wish to continue coming we ask you to provide your own, so that there are spare mats available for new students. Please note: it is preferable to come to class with an empty tummy.
The general format of the classes is to start with gentle warm up exercises for the neck, shoulders, hips and lower back. Then we move into some stronger stretches and core strengthening exercises (toning the abdominals, pelvic floor and glutes). Once students are familiar with the movements, we encourage them to combine conscious breathing with the postures.
