When my daughter started with The Dance Academy she was excited to learn a variety of different dance styles. I first put her in dance for fitness but she grew a love for dance and a love for her teacher. Dawn has provided her with important lessons and as the studio has grown so has my daughter. The variety of different dance styles that are offered is phenomenal especially living in small town Maleny.
Currently my daughter is doing Acro and since the start of this term, I have been able to see the enormous development of her skills. The staff know each dancers ability as well as limitations and they are just able to push the envelope to provide excellent results. I can't say enough outstanding words to express how working great this studio is and how my daughter looks forward to going every week.

Services
The Dance Academy is a place where children and adults of all ages, shapes and sizes learn to dance and perform. This is a studio where creativity, individuality and self-expression is encouraged and has a community of teachers, students and families who are passionate about performing arts. Our goal is to create a positive and happy experience for all of our students.
All of our teachers are industry professionals with a great deal of experience both dancing and teaching. Dance classes are a great way to meet new friends and make friends for life. We have worked hard to create a friendly and supportive environment with a wonderful team culture. Dance has a wide range of physical and mental benefits.
The Dance Academy Landsborough was previously Black Swan School of Dance but it is now under new management and has become part of The Dance Academy Family. This purpose built dance studio has a large dance space as well as a waiting area for students and their families. The studio has built in and portable barres as well as specially sprung dance flooring making it the perfect place for dance classes.
The Dance Academy Maleny has two studio locations on quiet Cedar Street, the Presbyterian Church Hall and the Girl Guides Hall. This studio was previously run as bDifferent Dance Academy until 2018 when it changed management and became The Maleny Dance Academy. With built in barres, portable barres and beautiful timber flooring it is the perfect place to take dance classes in Maleny.
The Dance Academy Mapleton holds classes in ballet, jazz, tap and acro at the Mapleton Community hall. Classes here began in Term 3 2018 with just kindy classes on offer but this has quickly grown due to popular demand and we are now offering kindy, junior and intermediate classes. The beautiful hall is very large offering plenty of space for our dancers to move.

Our daughter is thoroughly enjoying her kindy dance class with Miss Dawn at The Dance Academy, and it is an absolute highlight in her week. Miss Dawn is kind, nurturing and professional, and her classes are organised, inclusive and, most importantly, so much fun. We couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the world of ballet, jazz and all things dance!
