Araluen Motor Lodge

Before I tell my experience I am sure the manager will contradict the truth. Me My husband and my mother drove 5 hours to get to the hotel, when we arrived my husband went to check in which he was told that the manager saw 3 people get out the car instead of the expected two. She said I can’t let you stay here you have breached your reservation as there should only be two people. We apologised and said we will only stay two people and my husband will find alternative accomodation even if he sleeps in the car for that night until he finds something else in the morning. She said. I I don’t want

Got the 3rd degree by the manager insisting by law I needed to be double vaccines in order to stay. I am an essential worker, and double vaxxed, however the misinformation and lies resulted in me challenging her and when this occurred, she cancelled my booking.
Avoid this place!
They segregate, judge and are extremely rude
Please disregard the management comments. Again they have failed in their attempt at customer service.
There was no ranting or raving, just questions asked politely.your staff member had lied to you
Furthermore, you have no understanding

Bed was comfortable and the tv was a great size in comparison to most hotels. Unfortunately, there were guests partying well after 10pm in the room above us. Unsure if we could call reception after hours as the book said to only call in emergency situations. The smoke detector also started beeping for a new battery at 4am, we didn’t want to take it down as that would create a fire hazard so decided to leave at 5am as we couldn’t get back to sleep.

Clean well presented room , well priced ,staff could not be more helpful

Deb is without a doubt the WORST host I've ever met. I stayed 1 night and she would not stop harassing us. We had 2 friends visiting us but staying elsewhere and she came and banged on our door to scold us and accuse us of sneaking in guests. Then she calls us in the middle of dinner to say your guests need to leave, we told her no they've left already and she yelled at us saying "no they're still there I know it!". They were sitting across the table from me at the Catalina club. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS HOTEL.

Best place to stay in Batemans Bay area. Staff are fantastic rooms are comfortable

This place is really value for money! Decided to book a room on a spur of the moment decision. I did not regret it! The Araluen Motor Lodge has made me feel welcome and at home. I have had the privilege to stay in many hotels, but the Araluen Motor Lodge has made my short list of places to stay when needing to go for a quick getaway. I really felt like I had spent 3 nights in a studio apartment of my own. The level of cleanliness is up and above what I have experienced in top end hotel chains. Upgraded. Loved it. Friendly reception. Upgraded due to renovations incomplete on the room we originally booked. Fabulous 4 bedroom apartment! So much space for our family. Everything we required and the laundry a bonus with children. Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Fantastic location, a really wonderful place. Would definitely recommend and very reasonable prices (prior to upgrade) with everything in walking distance - beach, large playground, supermarket, bakery, coffee, newsagents, restaurants and more.
