From humble beginnings in 2006 Taboon has grown to become an iconic Gold Coast destination for locals and tourists. It is impossible now to unravel how it all happened, but it is clear that food, family and restaurants have always been blurred together in our lives. Whether it was in Israel or in Australia our love affair with food ultimately led to the whole family working together at Taboon.
Our children always wanted to be part of the team and worked their way through the ranks from a young age. All are drawn by our unique, quirky spin on traditional Middle Eastern Cuisine. They meet, relax and share a table at our restaurant in Robina. It always was (and still is) all about the food inspired by the bakeries, hummus and grill houses of that region.

The original Taboon is an open plan caf/restaurant that is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy our creative Middle Eastern cuisine. The lyrical Middle Eastern music and aromas from the kitchen will add to flavor of your experience. There is something for everyone and every occasion on the menu and our friendly team will be happy to look after you.

Without a doubt one of my all time top 5 favourite restaurants to exist- and I’m not shy to driving hours or travelling interstate for good food. The best restaurant in Robina hands down and possibly the most underrated in the entire Gold Coast. This humble joint boasts so much flavour, passion and culture in each item on the menu- and the best part? NOTHING disappoints. I cannot fault a single item on the menu I’ve ever ordered here, which is a testament to the love, care and passion they have towards making good food here.

A colleague suggested this hidden treasure and our group of friends really enjoyed it a couple of nights ago. The vegetarian and chicken dishes were fabulous looking and tasty, the couscous and rice lovely, the lamb tender, and the NZ wine perfect. The salads could have been a bit more creative but overall we had a great experience. The waitress was prompt and friendly, not pushy at all, and knew the menu well. Her recommendations were spot on. Parking was very handy. We'd go back any time.
