The Wine Barrel
A gem in Mudgeeraba where good food, wine + friends can enjoy the finest produce in a warm and inviting atmosphere. With the creative style of Miss Lauren Tebbey (LCreative) and her father Alan's building talent, the four month journey began almost 9 years ago to turn a blank canvas into a rustic modern dining location fit for the eco Mudgeeraba surroundings.

The wine barrels are 25 year old oak barrels and form a main feature in the restaurant. The Log wall was designed to draw attention to the origninal logging town that is Mudgeeraba. Amongst the rustic charm there are some modern touches. The Onyx stone bar front proved quite a challenge in itself but has proved to be a beautiful feature piece.

Had a gift certificate to blow and a 21 year anniversary to celebrate and what a great place to do it. Awesome menu, great cocktails, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. What a nice way to kill a Sunday afternoon!

Recently I thought I'd try The Wine Barrel again to see if it was as good as before. Somehow it was even better. This time I took the Missus and my 96 year old Mum. The wheel Chair situation was no issue and the friendly staff put us in the perfect spot. Things were looking promising already. Then we looked at the menu and found there are still so many choices that it would suit any palate. That said Mum decided she wanted Pumpkin Soup which wasn't actually on the menu. No bother, the wait staff had a quick chat with the Kitchen and this 96 year old Pumpkin Soup Connoisseur was presented with the

Absolutely stunning! Could not fault anything from the food to the service.
The wine was delicious and I can't wait to go back.
Prices were absolutely fair the only thing I could whinge about would be the parking can be difficult.
Desserts we're delish, mains were amazing nothing was too heavy. Very happy to recommend to anyone.

Fabulous little wine bar with great food, excellent wine selection and helpful and friendly staff. Located in an unassuming location (at the back of a set of shops and next to a laundromat!), this tastefully decorated and comfortable atmosphere lends itself to long meals with friends while graze through amazingly good food and get stumped by which wine to have next only to get saved by the friendly and helpful staff who were able to help us get a great wine every time. The kangaroo was simply sublime, wonderful presentation beautifully camouflage the delicately and perfectly cook kangaroo, some

I love the food and cocktail here. Small but perfect place for a quick rendezvous with workmates. The food is cooked perfectly and the cocktail are definitely delish and worth the $20. I highly recommend this place.

Mixed emotions about this place. Menu at first was creative and exiting
The coffee definitely had room for improvement. My wife asked for a warm late , it took 15 mins to come out with 4 people in the restaurant. Coffee was WAY to hot. Specially for a 32 degree day.
Asked for a fried egg instead of a poached, the egg came out poached.
2 request that was failed to be met. The food also took about half hour to come out, which wasn't great as by that time we were the only ones waiting on food. We had to ask to order, and no one came to top up our waters. Which was also disappointing.
