Jim's career in dentistry started in the year 2000. His clinical experience has included working at he Royal Melbourne Children's Hospital, the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne as well as private practice. Jim has also been involved in tertiary education as a lecturer and clinical demonstrator at the University of Melbourne Dental school.

Dr. Jim Androutsopoulos is a caring family dentist in Malvern East providing a variety of dental services including preventative, restorative, prosthetic and implant dentistry. We will use an intra oral camera to clarify points of interest and to educate you on your oral health.
At The Tooth Doctor our appointments are tailored to the requirement of each individual. Our new patient fees for examination/consultation and dental hygiene are listed below. All other fees are quoted prior to any treatment undertaken. We have HICAPS onsite, so you can bring your private health insurance card to access your benefit immediately.

I booked in to see the dentist as I desperately required a filling in my front tooth after it cracked on holidays. I was so impressed with the warm welcome I received upon arrival. As it was my first time visiting The Tooth Doctor, I filled out my form and within five minutes I was sitting in the chair. Jim the dentist quickly put me at ease with his calm and friendly demeanour. The procedure was the smoothest experience I’ve ever had at the dentist. They did a superb job and my teeth are better than ever. Vicki and Jim have created such an amazing clinic. I highly recommend them!

Jim has been our family dentist for over 15 years and is very honest, gentle and caring. Being a small business owner myself, I love the fact that the tooth doctor is a small family run business where you are made to feel welcome and comfortable each and every visit. The care and professionalism is second to none. Would not take my kids anywhere else. I don’t even live close anywhere but I still travel just to see Jim!

Jim “The Tooth Doctor” is the most approachable dentist you will ever meet. A specialist when dealing with children from all ages, especially kids with Special Needs & Autism. His professionalism, expertise, heartwarming nature teamed with a low sensory environment complete with iPad screen to help calm the mind and tooth shaped mirror, is a true success! A winner with both my kids aged 7 and 9, who have varying challenges. Well done Jim
