Stayed at the Bay Village for a week for soccer tournament with 2 teenage boys and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating if they tried, even when booking they went above and beyond, from Mika, Miguel and bubbly lady with glasses in reception, sorry cant remember her name, to house keeping and maintenance guy, who were just all really great, had issue with our stove so moved to another and better room, let us take towels to tournament on our last day as game was after checkout time, gave us parking for hire car and always smiling always helpful and the surrounds are beautiful would recommend to any family groups just made a hectic week so much easier and comfortable nice pools and facilities.

Booked through Agoda on-line about 15 minutes before arriving. Made sure the booking date was right when searching. However didn't realise until I arrived at the motel and showed them my confirmation email that the booked date was 2 days in advance. Staff at the motel were not prepared to assist with simply changing the date (which was a week night, so assumed not a busy night) stating it was my responsibility to contact Agoda, which I attempted to however no Aust contact number. When ask motel staff if they had a room for the night which I was prepared to pay again, until they wanted to charge

Rooms absolutely disgusting with rust and bubbles in paint in bathroom broken toilet top and paintwork from the 80’s our double bed was two singles pushed together !!! Absolute waste of money. DO NOT STAY HERE
Noisy are conditioning kept us up all night and when politely asking a resolution to this the manager who’s just as dated as the rooms said there was nothing she could do
Spent a fortune in the restaurant was lovely food
The accomodation here is dated, used AND POORLY looked after, it’s noisey in the morning we were put in 232 right above the cleaning block !! Like seriously ðŸ˜

Overall an okay stay, we were told we’d get a breakfast buffet every morning included but was only available on the weekends which it then cost us $9 each. We got food poisoning from elsewhere on our last two days of staying, when we asked if we could get a later checkout because our flights were at 7 and we felt so crook, they denied and showed no sympathy, so we were left to go straight to the airport and now spewing in the public toilets. We are wanting to plan another trip up as we’ve lost days to adventure but we will definitely not stay here again.

We stayed here 3 times during our travels. While the rooms are showing their age a little they were clean and tidy and the location is within a 15 minute casual stroll to the town centre. The price was very reasonable compared to other hotels and there is a great Balinese restaurant attached but make sure you book a table as it gets very busy.staff are very friendly and helpful, they can book all your travel tours and help with activities.

OK motel but poorly laid out so the pool area gets very little sun. There's also a scarcity of tables and chairs to sit at outside your room, so you're lucky if you can snag one near your room. Not good when the rooms are hot and stuffy. Decent location though, with a relatively short walk to the Esplanade

Nice rooms, some of the air con units are old school and a bit noisy, but they are in the process of being updated so won't be an ongoing issue. Felt safe and secure staying here. The newer pool was great but the older one needs work.

Great hotel. Rooms very spacious with a small kitchen including a microwave oven.
Rooms are well serviced daily.
Only downside was the distance to Cairns Central about 1klm so can be a problem catching an Uba ride. Drivers won't accept the ride.

Accommodation was affordable and what you would expect for the price.
Room and facilities a bit dated, but clean.
Hotel has a very nice vibe with many plants. Has "first in first served" on site parking for guests.
Room was spacious with large room, large bathroom, tv, fridge, microwave.
Location pretty good with most of Cairns within a 20 minute walk.

Super noisy. The rooms have no sound proofing and the noise from the communal pool/ happy hour area comes right into the rooms. The communal area was open for people to drink and hang out all night, we didn't get any quiet until after 3am.
The rooms open directly out to the paths and reception so we had no privacy unless we completely closed all of the blinds which meant no natural light.
There were only two pillows provided (both very old and flat, and no extra bedding).
Would be a one star, but the location is quite good, close to town. The staff were friendly but made no attempt to ask patrons

Place was very motel looking. Would not recommend staying here. The pictures are very misleading. The beds are super uncomfortable and the walls have dings and paint missing. And our fridge is brown on the outside

The two of us were put into a family room which gave us plenty of space. The bedroom was separate and had nothing else in it but a bed and bedside tables. The TV, kitchen, wardrobe and other two beds were in the living room. The place was clean and serviced each day. There were a couple of maintenance issues. The cold water tap screamed when it was turned on and scared us each time we washed our hands.
The disappointing aspect was the smoking on the walkway outside our room and around the pool.
The motel is located well and you need to try the Balinese restaurant in the same building. There is

Nice hotel, very friendly service.

Pros: based on other reviews online, seems like they really listen bc many issues seem fixed.
Nice AC in room. Good shower pressure. Spacious rooms. There are room only retreat accommodations on one side and apartments across the street. We stayed in room only. Nice room fans and AC although common room w extra small beds can be a little warm.
Free sunscreen and bug spray in common area. Small but nice pool. Free pool towels. Lots of lounge chairs outside of the rooms.
Laundry facilities with $4 for wash and $4 for dry. $2 to get a packet of detergent from front
