The PIVET IVF Program commenced in 1981 and was established by Professor John Yovich on his completion of studies in Reproductive Medicine in London and Cambridge, United Kingdom. Since that time more than 8,000 babies have been born in Western Australia from our various fertility treatments. PIVET aims to deliver a high standard of care together with implementing techniques in relation to improving success rates in the IVF program.

In 2018, PIVET has increasingly moved towards a freeze best embryo policy due to the higher chance of pregnancy in frozen embryo transfers. Please be aware that in 2018, there were only 3 frozen embryo transfers in patients 45 years old who used their own eggs, and one pregnancy. The data displayed does not reflect the true chance of pregnancy in this age group due to the small numbers.
PIVET Medical Centre is a fully integrated clinic, with a licensed day surgical hospital on site (Perth Day Surgery Centre), allowing us to conduct all services in-house. Most IVF fees have a Medicare rebate, which means that Medicare will pay part of the cost of the treatment cycle.
The actual rebate payable by Medicare for Australian families and singles is difficult to calculate for each IVF treatment as each treatment may differ and will be dependent on whether or not you have reached the Safety Net threshold for the calendar year.Information regarding the Safety Net threshold can be obtained from the Medicare Website.

At PIVET Medical Centre we strive to provide the highest level of care with the infertility treatment programs and gynaecological services we offer. Your first visit will provide you with general information about the clinic and explain what you could expect in relation to diagnosis and treatment. You will require a referral form from your GP or Specialist.

This is a dedicated nursing clinic (provided by Pivet Medical Centre) for South West patients receiving fertility treatments. During our treatment cycles we found the nurses here were amazing. They were so caring, supportive, helpful and knowledgeable and we really appreciated having the support of a local clinic. No other WA fertility clinic provides this type of service for their SW patients that we know of. Highly recommend Pivet Medical Centre Bunbury.
