Services
We are a refreshing dance school where children are exposed to dance in a nurturing and welcoming environment, with a no-pressure approach. Founded by teacher Kelly Youlton in late 2014 with just a handful of students, we have continued to maintain our personal and supportive approach as the school has continued to grow.
This class is for those teeny dancers who love to move, enjoy music and have an enthusiastic caregiver who can share in the joy of dance! We created this class for our young dancers who are not quite ready for our Tiny Tots classes, whether it be due to age or they need the comfort of a parent next to them to join in with their dance class.
This is our little gem! Our Tiny Tots programme is where it all begins and we welcome new and aspiring Ballerina's, making their dreams come to life. These classes are a beautiful gentle introduction into the world of dance for your child as we introduce many dance steps in a creative manner, exploring music, themes, stories and props.
Our classes have a clear, well balanced structure to them and we put a lot of thought and time into ensuring you child is learning, having fun and their holistic development is being supported. Your child will learn an abundance of classical Ballet skills and steps whilst being suitably challenged and encouraged each step of the way, we believe this provides the essentials of dance to become a creative, confident and versatile individual.
Our Jazz Tap classes follow the Australian Teachers of Dance (ATOD) and we include our own curriculum to provide a variety of music, both classical and modern, along with choreography to help your child have the technique and ability to be a rounded dancer and perform. Please note the ages for classes are just a guideline and it is important children have the skills and confidence before moving up a class.

I encourage parents seeking dance classes for their little people to come to Kelly’s Dance Academy. My daughter has been attending ballet, Jazz and Tap here for a few years now and Kelly has inspired my daughter through dance.
We’ve taken part in the annual recitals and made some wonderful friends. Kelly and her team of professional dance teachers are an absolute asset to those wanting to learn dance :)

Kelly's Dance Academy is the perfect outlet for our little dancer. The classes are well structured and Miss Kelly and her instructors are brilliant dance teachers, very competent in guiding the classes of young ballerinas and jazz/tap dancers. The school is relaxed and the classes a wonderful combination of dance technique, exercise, performance, music and storytelling. Kelly also runs extra workshops through the school holidays. The optional performances are adorable and come together very well with so many students bravely getting on stage in front of a large audience of families.

Fantastic ballet school they also have adult classes, all levels welcome. Kelly is wonderful, the classes are small and personal. Concerts are optional, don't cost you an arm and a leg and the children are not expected to cake on makeup, have three expensive costumes or fake hair and lashes. Overall it great, especially for girls and boys that just want to enjoy moving the bodies and learning a new skill.
