Great Apartment's, but if a you or someone you knows owns or is going to buy one, become a member of Body Corp. It's not much work, but the amount of money saved by having people interested in their investment, can make a huge difference on resale price! I won't explain why here, but just beware that the more people involved in decision's of who gets paid for what? Can make a big difference down the line of how much body corporate has in useless loans because not enough people in Privately owned units involved in what money goes where????

Had a bad experience with this place, got provided with inefficient power heater which ended me paying more than a 1000 dollar electricity bill just for 3 months! Then they did not assist us with the payment even though that they provided us with that heater. My only advice is to avoid such old buildings that might end you paying too much money.

Building maintenance is always disappointing. The building manager is a waste of money, the owners corporation is paying him for not doing his job

Okay for student accommodation, nothing special. One good thing is proximity to tram and bus services along with Bundoora square being next door.

Its a good place if you study in La Trobe or in RMIT.
Tram and Bus stop is at door step.
Living here for the last 1 year.
Rent is a bit high as all the apartments are fully Furnished with comfy bed and fridge and oven
JUST JUMP in with yourself and luggage.
You can make friends and make noise and part at home. Neighbours will not complain as they are students too. :)

Very noisy. It is on a good location and that is the only advantage. People there keep partying every day and night admin doesn't care about it. The bills are very expensive according to admin "there is daily usage fee". The questionnaire that admin provided before you move in if you are having random housemate is just piece of crap, I marked that I do not smoke and I don't want my housemate to smoke he just arranged me to a heavy smoker who eats take-away almost everyday which is different from my expectation as I ask for a housemate with healthy life style. Even if I told him my housemate smokes

I'd like the flexible lease terms. Which allow me to choose how long I want to stay. It's not like other student accommodation or renting from real estate agent that you have to stick there for least 12 month. I've stayed for 9 month then go home for summer break. In overall, It works out even cheaper than stay 12 month. I will stay in Uni Mews again when I back.
