Banjo Paterson Cottage Restaurant operates as a fine dining restaurant that also specialises in functions for all occasions, whether intimate dining for two, family gatherings, corporate functions or weddings. We pride ourselves on our service, attention to detail, quality and choice of cuisine whilst working with you to make your special event truly unique.

At Banjo Paterson's we ensure our beautiful setting and our friendly and helpful staff will make your day a special and memorable one. The total capacity of the cottage is 130 guests for seated functions and 300 for cocktail functions. Set in 5 acres of parkland the cottage is directly surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the water, Banjo Paterson's is an ideal location for wedding ceremonies and receptions.

Reservations Report

Please note: If making a reservation within 48 hours of your intended dining date please make your reservation by phone. We make all possible effort to confirm your booking as soon as we receive your message. If you are making a same day reservation we recommend you book by phone in the first instance.

Functions Report

To enable us to offer good food and service to your guests we suggest that groups of 15 and over have a limited menu. Please select your choices from the "Private Room and Groups Menu". Canapes will be served with drinks in the garden (weather permitting). 15-35 guests may select three choices per course.

A cool place with a nice view. The food was good and well-presented, especially the lamb. However, considering the price, I think the portions were a tad small.

Fantastic experience, Excellent dining, Beautiful venue
We had our wedding reception dinner here and from our first contact the experience has been outstanding. It was a pleasure to work with Robert and the staff to organise our dinner. The food was excellent and all of our guests thoroughly enjoyed it. The wait staff were very engaging! We will definitely be revisiting.

We went to Bajo for our anniversary dinner. The view was lovely and our table had the perfect spot. Chef and staff were attentive, food was great and pricing was reasonable for it.

Easy to find location. Adequate parking nearby. Some table settings offer nice views of the river. Table setting is simple and tidely set out. Table service is very good. Menu was varied and offered enough choices for all courses. Portion sizes were good - no small or large. Food well presented and hot when served. Taste of food was very good generally. Salt to taste if needed. Dining not rushed and not delayed...pleasant pace. Overall experience was good.
Cons: Just two, access to the toilets required the use of an unsheltered staircase. Caution required when wet or raining. If you want a little

The team was very friendly and accommodating. Had our wheelchair bound grandmother with us, and they were very helpful in moving her around. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and warm, touches of historic elements are fantastic. The food was absolutely amazing, the pie was delicious!
