The owner's Phil McKern, Tim McKern and Wal Collins have extensive experience operating a hotel and have gone to great lengths to ensure customers comfort and satisfaction. The Hibernian Hotel Bendigo offers fine dining, ice cold beer from clean taps, Fox Sports on multiple viewing screens, AFL live, a modern jukebox, a pool table, state of the art heating & cooling, full beer garden, smokers area and a family friendly atmosphere.

Hot Rocks Report

At the Hibo, if you want to try our famous hot rocks, we have plenty of options to choose from, including 3 different size Eye Fillet Steaks, Scotch Fillet, Crispy Skin Salmon and a Marinated Lamb Backstrap, all options served on a 400° hot stone, allowing you to cook your meal to your liking, ensuring every bite is as hot and delicious as the first.

Clean, cool, and service focused. Went for lunch yesterday as I visited a friend in Bendigo, and the meal was delicious, and the staff were delightful.

Waited 45 minutes for a parma which was terrible possibly the worst Parma I've had at a pub very poor value for money very disappointed as I had been there a few years ago and it was great back then

Hot Rock 400 grm eye fillet steak was magnificent. 1 of the best steaks I have had in Bendigo. The choc mint cold rock was also exceptional. Wife's parma and smashed pav were pretty good too. Will definitely be back.

Had an amazing meal - only disappointment was I asked and paid for extra sauce and didn’t receive it . Also asked for chips only and there was absolutely the minimal amount of chips . The steak on the hot rocks was definitely an experience and will be back !!

Excellent service from all staff. Came to take our order and regularly checked in. Hot rock steak was a great experience and the cold rock ice-cream for dessert was great! More than accommodating and we will be back! A+++++

I booked for lunch for my daughters birthday. When we arrived we were seated outside (9 of us, 4 adults, 3 young kids and 2 babies). We requested if we could please be moved inside as it was quite cold and we could see some free space. They said they couldn’t and put the small heater on. There was a table next to us with quite a few adults, and we then heard them asking to go inside due to the ‘chilly weather’. The staff then came out and accommodated their request, taking them inside. We then went inside and tried to ask again if we could be put inside due to the other group being moved
