Yogababy specializes in pregnancy and postnatal yoga, pregnancy exercise and birth education. Yoga for Pregnancy classes involve breathing & yoga postures for strength and relaxation, as well as deepening your connection with your baby. Health providers recommend yoga as a safe and gentle form of pregnancy exercise.

Our experienced yoga teachers have expert knowledge of pregnancy and will give you the confidence to vary the pregnancy exercises according to your ability. From 6 weeks to 42 weeks. Since 2000 we have recognised the need for mums and bubs to stay connected in the early phase of parenting. In our yogababy class we focus on yoga postures specifically designed to help you regain strength and tone in a safe and effective way.
Services
Suzanne Swan, Senior Yoga Teacher, has been teaching fertility yoga and preconception care since 2005. She has helped hundreds of women/couples on their journey towards parenthood. Suzanne has a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and Post Graduate Diploma of Psychology from University of Queensland. She is a registered counsellor and a member of ACCA.
Prenatal yoga as a safe and gentle form of exercise, our classes are designed specifically for women to relax and strengthen during their pregnancy. I needed that scheduled time to relax and do something for me, otherwise I find I just keep doing other things. It was a relaxed atmosphere, positive vibes and felt good to do something positive for my body.
The class is lead by Lauren, our experienced Pregnancy & Postnatal Yoga teacher. You will be guided safely through dynamic and relaxing poses and given options to vary the poses according to your energy level and specific conditions. It is an open and supportive space to meet other Mums. It is not necessary to have previous yoga experience to attend our yoga classes.
Do online & interactive 1 hour private sessions with Suzanne to cover the Active Birth Skills in the series. Usually it will take 3 sessions to cover all topics @ $165 per one hour session. Email to arrange a booking. Active Birth yoga classes are gentle, safe and beneficial for you and your growing baby.
An Active Birth is a physiological birth that promotes the long-term health of both mother and baby. Practicing Active Birth Yoga will help you to keep calm; respond creatively; reduce fear and the experience of pain; & increase your focus and confidence for active birth. Learn Active Birth Skills with other pregnant mums (best attended in your 2nd & 3rd trimesters).

My hubby and I had a one on one private session with Suzanne to prep for the birth of our second baby. It was absolutely incredible! Suzanne is so knowledgeable and we learnt so much about my individual body from the pelvic mapping process. It was so helpful to have her come to our home where we will be birthing our babe to be able to have guidance on good positions and practices we might want to use to help her have the most smooth transition into the world possible. Suzanne approaches this essential birthing preparation course with humour and inclusiveness. There are anatomical props to help demistify and educate on your baby’s journey from womb to world. I thoroughly recommend the Active Birth Yoga course to all pregnant people as a way to have a positive and prepared mindset for birth!

We couldn't be happier with the decision to book in a session with Suzanne ahead of our baby's arrival. Woww! Just wow! Highly recommend the Yogababy classes. I did the 6 week Pregnancy Yoga class and the Active Birth classes so far. I am signed up for a few other classes as well with Yogababy. It was so great! Practical and exactly what I needed to feel confident going in to labour and beyond. The classes were completely different from my hospital Active Birth class and covered completely different things.
We practised all the exercises and yoga poses that are great for the different phases of labour to help get baby into position.

My partner and I attended the one day couples workshop which was really valuable for our learning as our birth approaches. What we both especially enjoyed is the practical components and physically applicable learning tools used during the workshop. It was a long day of learning and the most important aspect of this is knowing that labour is also a long process so it is a great way to see that you have to gear your mind to the endurance of that.

Yogababy is a wonderful community to practice yoga be it online currently or in the studio. Suzanne is a great teacher who is extremely welcoming and creates such a positive environment to do yoga. Suzanne has immense experience and is able to adapt the class to suit each women's pregnancy and home studios. Its a very safe and comfortable space and also good to meet other mums. I would recommend Suzanne's classes no matter what stage of pregnancy you are in.

I have been to three rounds of prenatal yoga with Yogababy for our three sons. Also some postnatal classes and two Active Birth workshops. Amazing experience, Suzanne and team are phenomenally calm, experienced and grounded. You learn everything you need to know for a positive and conscious birth. Our children love Suzi and we recommend these classes to all expecting parents. So practical and lots of good people in the community. Don't hesitate to book in. Your babies will love this.

Amazing! The active birth workshop and weekly classes during pregnancy was the perfect preparation I needed for the labour I envisioned. Suzanne is extremely humble and knowledgeable. My first baby was born after labouring at home for 10 hours, drug free and only using my breath and movement. So liberating! We only needed to spend 2 hours in hospital before he arrived. And hubby knew exactly how to help after the workshop we did together. Thanks Suzanne!

100% recommend attending an Active Birth workshop, or anything guided by Suzanne Swann. My partner and I attended a day workshop, we walked in so unsure of everything and I personally walked out feeling so confident and empowered towards our birthing experience. We both learnt so much and it helped set us up for a positive experience. After the course I had some technical issues with the 'after the workshop' course material and Suzanne and her team at Yogababy were able to help - I am really appreciative to have that support even after the workshop had concluded.
