We are a long day care centre catering for children aged between 6 weeks and 6 years located in the Newcastle suburb of Cardiff South. The educational program run within the centre stems from the observed interests of the individual child which makes learning interesting and fun. Indoor and outdoor experiences cater to the development of the whole child.
The program allows for children to be creative through art and craft, music and movement, while also catering to their cognitive development through language and literacy. The experiences that offered throughout the day invite intrigue and investigation and are based on a hands-on approach to learning.

Services
We believe that the early years of a child's life are their most influential. It is within these years that they develop the foundation skills and abilities that will carry them through life. Our role is crucial in fostering and facilitating the child's development in these years. Provide a program of experiences which will promote the total development and wellbeing of the children.
The centre program is developed using an interest based approach. Whereby we believe that children learn best when they are interested and engaged in play situations. The educators observe the children and plan experiences that support the development of the child both individually and in small groups.
In our new vegetable gardens and chicken hatchery our children will learn environmentally sustainable practices by helping to care for and maintain this space. Cardiff Childcare Centre have recently signed a lease with Lake Macquarie Council for approximately 250 square metres of land in addition to our current outdoor play space.
We are using a fantastic app called 'kidsoft' - book in casual days or report absences for your child straight from your phone in just a few taps!. Kidsoft app is part of the iParentPortal, a platform which helps everyone involved to manage the children's care needs. Notify Cardiff South Childcare that your child will be 'absent' in advance for a permanent session.

My daughter has been attending CCC for the past 4 1/2 years, she loves going to daycare and she loves her teachers.
The educators are wonderful, caring and go above and beyond for the children. My daughter especially loves the chickens, all of the fun experiments, the interesting learning experiences and of course all of the fun things to do and play with.
Everyday she tells us it has been “the best day ever”. She is always coming home and sharing with us the new things she learned about at school.
It is an absolute credit to the educators how much she has learned, how much she loves going

Having been apart of the Cardiff Child Care family for over 12 months now I have nothing but appreciation for everything all the beautiful educators that I have had contact with. My daughter has built and continues to grow strong relationships with all of her teachers, and they in return encourage her to be the person she is. It is so much easier to leave my daughter to go to work knowing she is being cared for by professional, caring, educated and loving teachers, who love her as I do...

Highly Recommend Cardiff Child Care. We have been there for a few months now and are so happy we found them :) The centre has a huge outdoor space with play equipment and chickens, which the kids love! The educators and director go above and beyond for the kids and the parents, the communication is great either via Storypark, emails and just general chats. They have made the transition process for starting at a new centre fabulous, the rooms are great and really good size with lots of different activity areas.

Cardiff Child Care has been amazing for my son who's been going for over 18 months now. Every staff member is happy and caring. Communication through storypark and email is constant which is important to keep us informed. We will be sending my daughter there when we need and would recommend to anyone else

Amazing, fun and friendly staff. Hidden gem of a centre.
Our two year old daughter is thriving and will happily run in and not look back of a morning!
The centre has everything you need included, great food, staff experienced and super caring. The centre is always thinking of ways to help families above and beyond daycare hours eg. Friday night meals, date nights and community events. We’re so thankful to have such a great centre for our little one.

My son started at Cardiff Child Care in September and I couldn't be happier with the level of care he has received. All the staff are so welcoming and nurturing and no request has been any trouble. The centre has a very family-centred and community outlook. The director goes above and beyond by organising quarterly date nights for parents and offering baked goods and farm produce to share with families. It has a very home-like feel and my son also loves the little farm!

Great daycare. The educators are all so lovely and really make an effort connecting with the kids. My 9 mth old had a really easy transition and loves going. They are always going above and beyond with little extras like the parents bar that has snacks like fruit or freshly baked scrolls, lots of activities and special days like Pyjama Week, and even swimming lessons. My 3 year old is taken to swim lessons once a week and she get so excited about it. I feel confident she is safe and looked after. The grounds and equipment are so good with chickens and a rabbit, climbing frames, bikes, and loads
