Been using Rent Star to lease out my unit at Toowong for a year now, two times it’s been put on the market and both times it’s been snapped up within a week! Great for landlords but they must also do great work for potential Tenants getting everything done so quickly!

At the end of my lease I was charged $100 to replace a bin lid as well as $350 to clean a bbq that was never used and still had the original cover over it. Have to tried to contact the company for the last 2 months about these chargers and have received no response. Very poorly run company avoid at all costs.

Can’t say enough good things about the team at Rentstar - friendly, professional, effective. Found us great tenants, and the property was always cared for and well maintained. Reporting and record keeping was excellent, and they were responsive and helpful with maintenance, insurance and depreciation reports. They managed our property for 5+ years and I’d recommend them without hesitation.

Zero stars. The only reason they have good reviews is that they offer you a voucher to give them a 5 star review - shady as hell. Rentstar are the sole reason I know the RTA's phone number off by heart.
Where do I start? They took 6 months to replace our bedroom carpets after the place flooded. Bare concrete floor in the bedroom for 6 months!
The flooding was a yearly occurrence during rainy season. Water would seep up from the carpet of both bedrooms. Their handyman was friendly, but was unable to deal with what was clearly a structural issue beyond his capability. They didn't care.

This stellar company attracts a certain type of money-hungry landlord where they feed off a cycle of inaction and blame for a constellation of property maintenance issues including mould, faulty electricals, basic plumbing, and gutter cleaning.
Getting your bond back will be an intergalactic mission! Spacey end of lease inspections will dispute the work of professional bond cleaners and will try and charge you to the milky way and back.

Would not recommend RentStar to anyone thinking about signing a lease with them. My partner and I rented from them for 18 months and had problems from the very beginning.
Our apartment originally flooded within a few weeks of living there and resulted in a lot of bad maintenance, which didn’t fix the problem. It took them 6 months to replace the carpets and they repeatedly sent maintenance people over without any notice and would walk around while we weren’t there.
The service was probably the worst of any company I’ve ever dealt with. Their staff were constantly changing and had no idea

ZERO STARS. I wrote a very comprehensive review, but unfortunately Google doesn't allow that many characters. This agency is dishonest, unprofessional and has zero idea how to effectively manage a property. At the beginning of my lease, the property was filthy and had multiple things either broken or not working properly. To get anything repaired/tended to was a nightmare - most items were left as is. When I did leave the property, and submitted my bond refund request, this was denied. I received the list of items to remedy at approx. midday and was told they needed to be sorted that afternoon

This is a horrible company. Jordan especially should be fired he never responded to my complaints nor did he ever fix the problems I had at the house I lived in. We left the house better then when we came and yet out of the 3000 dollar bond we got back 400 dollars. They are a scummy company! After my experience with Rent star I had to write this review I couldn’t let people fall into this trap unknowingly. Pls don’t be stupid find another company any other! If you don’t you will live to regret it….
