Clinical Pilates has been developed by Physiotherapists, specifically to compliment the early work of Joseph Pilates in the 1920's and the recent research by physiotherapists on the importance of core stability. Here at Pilates Bayside, our philosophy is to provide a very personal and customised approach to pilates, delivering successful outcomes to each of our clients.
Our Physiotherapists tailor a low impact exercise program specific to your individual needs. Clinical Pilates is instructed under very close supervision, often as part of a client's rehabilitation from injury or chronic pain. Movements focus on muscle control and endurance rather than pure strength.

Services
For a customised, safe and effective program to be developed all clients have their initial assessment and first 3-4 sessions with a Physiotherapist. Following this, the program is practised independently in the studio (see below), or you may wish to continue with one:one supervision. These sessions enable you to work at your program for up to one hour under supervision of the Physiotherapist or Instructor.
Physiotherapist supervised Clinical Exercise is GST exempt and covered by most Private Health Insurance Funds with Extras Cover. With a Physiotherapist continuing overall supervision classes are covered by most funds as Group Physiotherapy. It is the responsibility of the client to check this with their health fund.

Over the last three years again I have found Pilates to be a great way to strengthen my body and improve my general wellbeing. I recently entered the Ord River Marathon, paddling 55 km in one day in a dragon boat.
I gave Pat Young the impossible task of getting me ready for the marathon in eight weeks, I would take care of the cardio work by walking daily and his task was to strengthen my upper body, keeping in mind I had had a six month break from Pilates.Well I completed the marathon with no noticeable sore spots.

Would not let me sell my friendly mice outside their institution. I was bringing all your customers! Goodluck now finding anyone to attend. Also I sell mice if you are interested, 10 dollars for one, they are handraised and tended to. (if I can't sell outside your physical place I'll advertise it on your online place)

I have been attending Bayside Pilates for 12 months and have always had a positive and rewarding experience. The app is fantastic to book and record your attendance and if you’ve left your booking very late you can always waitlist for a class. Reminders are put directly onto your electronic calendar and you can also receive a text message on the day of your class. The physiotherapists are very caring and knowledgeable and I have improved my strength and balance since attending the classes. This business has regular special offers and is Bupa preferred which means a substantial saving on classes

They take your money but don’t care about your health. App to book into classes is very annoying made more so by the fact you can’t get into classes. They are all booked out for weeks. Lots of elderly people go which is fine but receptionists bend over backwards to get them in to classes (due to their struggle with the app) meaning no one else can get in.
