The clinical team at Stonewall is made up of 6 General Practitioners, 2 Sexual Health Physicians, a Clinical Social Worker, a Nutritionist and a Body Psychotherapist. You will find more information about each of the team below. Dr Simmons has a particular interest in natural therapies. As well as general medicine, he offers acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutritional advice.

In addition to general medicine, Stonewall Medical Centre has a strong focus on sexual health, HIV medicine, and counselling, specialising in drug and alcohol addiction and sexual assault recovery. Stonewall does its best to provide complete holistic care to members of the LGBTIQ+ community, those requiring specialised care and those in the local community.
Dr. Rosevear lobbies nationally to generate understanding about Drugs, Addiction, Recovery, Prisons, Male Sexual Assault, Sexuality, Relationships, Suicide and Prevention. He believes passionately in the value of each person and in nurturing honesty to deal with life's issues. Along with his work in medicine, Dr Rosevear is an aspiring artist.
Dr Graham Neilsen is one of our Specialist Sexual Health Physicians and one of only three in Queensland. Graham looks after a large number of both transwomen and transmen in the provision of their gender-affirming treatment. You can also see Graham for sexual health issues such as HIV and STI management and sex therapy.
I enjoy working at Stonewall because I feel more connected to the community I belong to, and many of the diverse patients who come to see me bring a little kindness and humour to my day. Everyone has an important story of where they have come from and it is a privilege to get to know people and the important parts of their lives.
My name is Fabiola Martin and I have recently joined Stonewall as Sexual Health, HIV and HTLV specialist. I am one of two Sexual Health Physicians and one of three in Queensland. I have been working in this field since 1998 in the UK and moved to Brisbane in 2017. I have been a clinical academic and medical educator since 1997.

Getting my covid vaccine was a tremendous experience at Stonewall, Dr Hemming was warm and professional and I could not have been more comfortable. However the receptionist (Dahlia I believe) was indecisive, rude and caused confusion surrounding the confirmation of my appointment nearly causing me to miss it. The behavior was unprofessional and I feel did not represent my overall experience at Stonewall.

I’m international student and had booked for the Pfizer, then get rejected because I don’t have Medicare card which mean (I’m not Australian or PR)
Then they ask you to go to the hospital? Whats the difference?!!! They can process it they can’t. I just feel that this is discrimination why it has to be with specific card to get a vaccine. I said I have NIB and I also said I’ll pay for it from pocket but still rejected my appointment.

I have been coming to Stonewall for ten years to see mainly Dr Simmons whose knowledge of integrative medicine is incredible and has always shown me respect and kindness. I have also seen Dr. Hemming for my family and he misses nothing. It is honestly the most compassionate, understanding, proactive, intelligent medical care I have ever received. Nothing is missed and care given to detail. This is a place that truly cares about people in a non judgemental, holistic manner. Wonderful place

I heard so many great things about this place and my friend strongly recommended me to here. However Dr James Allen showed absolutely no compassion or interests in my condition during my visit. To me the doctor came across like a senior medical student who is tired and just try to fill a questionnaires . I got very little help and had to see another doctor two weeks later. I understand anyone can have a bad day , but for doctor , at what cost ?

A great place with experienced doctors with a wealth of experience, and professional & friendly staff. The whole team are friendly and non-judgemental and treat every patient with honesty and respect.
Same-day appointments are available most days. Bulk bills and privately bills depending on the Doctor and on the patient’s circumstances. The Practice has discrete parking at the rear of the building along with side street unmetered parking on the street. 👍😀

I have been going to Stonewall for over 20 years. I have always found All the staff friendly and helpful. The doctors especially Dr Wendell who I have to say basically saved my life. Cannot recommend this practice above and beyond the all other or would not have gone there for this long. I'm proud to be part of the Stonewall family. 🎼🎶☮️☯️
