Ken de Burgh started selling shoes more than 50 years ago, in 1965, working in a large department store in Perth. After 20 years there he decided it was time to go his own way and follow his passion for providing fine shoes. He knew finding quality shoes wasn't easy, and finding ones that lasted was just as hard.
When you walk into a store do you ever get that little voice in your head that says "Yes!" and you know it's the right one?. When you walk into the store you'll immediately know you are in the right place. It's like stepping into a piece of history where you are surrounded by timeless classics and the reassuring smell of shoe leather and polish.

This has to be one of the best mens' shoe shop in Perth. You get the friendliest service, great advice, no hard sell and a great range of shoes. I have been back to get my work shoes a number of times and they are always up with the trends. (Tip - the shop has moved from Carillon Arcade to 183 Murray St - Opposite Myer)

I arrived in Perth in 2015 and did my conversion course in the city, same building as De Burgh’s. I have always loved shoes because growing up, my family never had enough money to buy good shoes so my mother had to borrow shoes from our neighbours whenever I had school performances. The whole ambience of the store captivated me, the leathers, the smell of new shoes. I told myself once I start earning enough money, I will purchase shoes from them. I have been buying shoes from de Burgh’s shoes for many years. Last week I returned a pair of shoes that had split after 6 months. I had previously purchased this brand from de Burgh’s many times and not had any issues. I thought this must be an isolated incident. When I took the problem shoes back to the store they gave me a new pair of shoes. The replacement shoes were of better quality than the original pair. I highly recommend this store for anyone who is looking to buy high quality leather shoe and boots. The service is great with shop assistance who know what they are selling, they know how to sell it, and are polite and patient while doing it. The prices are fair for the quality of the products and are nothing to complain about. I can only say great things about this place I highly recommend it.

The guys at DeBurgh's went over and above.... Great service.
I bought one of their more unique formal pair of shoes and a few days later realised I needed a matching belt... I couldn't find a matching belt anywhere so I rang the guys and asked for a suggestion- they went to a neighbouring store and found a matching belt for me...… Over and beyond.
Fantastic Service, I will definitely go back and buy my shoes from De Burgh's again...

The selection of shoes seemed OK but the rude staff member wasn't, the old guy appeared pushy in his sales tactic and when I decided I needed to have a think as I hadn't made up my mind ($200 shoes and a strict refund policy one needs to be sure, right?) he got annoyed and rude. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Rude and hostile. Refused to tell me the type of shoe I was looking at because he reckoned that would allow me to go online to buy them. Firstly I was actually a returning customer (never again), which he's decided to insult. Secondly the exact type of shoe is listed on his own website, so it took me 10 seconds to find out. He's a fool, and the service here is woeful, avoid.
