Ferntree Gully Hotel
Located at the foothills of The Dandenongs, The Ferntree Gully Hotel is your local pub that checks every box. Sitting on Burwood Highway a short drive from the landmark 1,000 steps and the iconic Puffing Billy, we're a great spot to catch up for a drink, settling in for a lunch or catching the game in our Sports Bar.

If you're wanting to catch the game or pop in for a quick drink, our Sports Bar is the place for you, have your choice of ice-cold beer on tap or large list of wine, cider and spirits. Our Feast buffet restaurant is currently closed, however we are running a small snack menu Wednesday - Sunday in the Sports Bar, and all other facilities are still trading.
Services
Our buffet is better than ever, offering hot soups and entrees, fresh salads, succulent roasts with all the trimmings, chicken parmas, sliders, an extensive range of Asian dishes and more. We now serve seafood every day of the week, including whole prawns, salmon and mussels. To finish it off, you'll be spoiled for choice with our wide range of dessert options.
We pride ourselves as the local pub with the Dandenongs in our backyard, the perfect location to stop in for a drink. We have a large selection of local and international wines on hand to pair with any occasion, but it just wouldn't be your local without ice-cold beer on tap so we've got plenty of that too.
The Ferntree Gully Hotel is a versatile function and event space, with spaces able to cater for up to 300 guests. We specialise in private and corporate events, everything from conferences, birthdays, engagements or wedding receptions. We're able to tailor our rooms and event experiences to what you need, with cocktail, conferencing or seated menus.
Ideally located at the foothills of The Dandenongs, The Ferntree Gully Motel is perfect for those wanting a break from city life and explore the many hidden treasures in the Dandenong Ranges. The famous 1000 Steps is just a 3 minute drive up the road with picnic grounds and numerous walking tracks.
We strive to be at the heart of our local community by providing a place for friends to meet, for families to relax and to host local functions and events. We are the unofficial 'clubhouse' for a number of local sporting teams - a place to re-convene after matches, sell raffle tickets, celebrate victories and commiserate losses.

Cold beer and good service, typical ALH (Endeavour Group) pub. Food on 3 occasions was pretty good, a bit overpriced for what it was. Took friends to the Feast buffet one night and food choice, quality and value was excellent there.

Came here on a Monday night, sports bar was very quiet (only 4 others in here). Waited half an hour before we checked where our 4 starters were - response was the chef was very busy upstairs. Ended up waiting 45 mins for a few items. Also ordered a jug of water and 3 cups which I did have to go up to the bar and remind the staff again for because they had forgot. Refunded our money in the end but not worth the wait at all. Would not recommend the ferntree gully hotel.

After having such a wonderful Christmas lunch the previous year, we decided to go again for Christmas 2021. Sadly this time, was a real disaster. We weren't told that it was a smorgasbord and was expecting the previous years sit down menu and service. They used pork belly instead of a proper roast pork, which was so full of fat, it was virtually inedible. People everywhere pushing in at the buffets, no social distancing, no mask wearing. Staff too eager to take plates, that where yet to be touched. At $100.00 a head, we didn't even get coffee included. This was a real let down from the previous

Ahh well , staff were lovely and great atmosphere. But not much to say about the Christmas Buffet Lunch. Especially at $100 for adults & $35 kid's under 12.. so not worth it. I would imagine that the bistro has more appetising fare.. oh but the fruit & vegetables carving was out of this world. Very cool 🤗🤗

Great meals but could be a bit cheaper. The trays get picked over very quickly, leaving only half the contents. Carvery always busy doing other things. So much waste with utensil covers and napkin for every set.

My daughter's 21st was held in 'the Middle ' function room last weekend. The finger food selection and quality was outstanding. Donna and Jacqui went above and beyond with the service, decorating and attention to detail, right down to finding rose gold balloons. The bar and wait staff were very professional, including making sure our guests with dietary requirements received food from the special platters we ordered.
Our guests raved about the venue and indicating they would make future bookings.
We had such a fabulous, stress free evening, I strongly recommend you book your next event here!

Feast was great! Budget friendly, quality, well cooked buffet and the hostess was so friendly and professional! Had great recommendations for a first-time-Feaster, friendly to our table and always had a smile. Next time I’m back in the Gully I’ll be coming back for another Feast! Off I go now to slip into something more comfortable (i.e. a food coma)

Went to Feast Easter Sunday. Have been here many times. But has gone down hill food was all barely lukewarm. And flavourless and not a big variety. Won't be back
