Tuggerah Sports & Spinal Physiotherapy
In light of the current Greater Sydney lockdown, physiotherapy falls under medical care and hence we will remain open with risk minimalisation procedures. Please bring a mask to the clinic and the treatment area will be sanitised between every patient. If you have cold or flu symptoms, please reschedule your appointment to maximise the safety of other patients.

In keeping with risk minimalisation, our staff have already been fully vaccinated by both injections. We are a small, unique practice established 13 years ago with a reputation in providing expert one-to-one care.
Services
Besides the common cold, lower back pain is the most common complaint people visit a doctor for. There is an 80% chance we will have at least one episode of back pain in our lifetime. Low back pain can be localised in the spine (centrally or to one side), but can also radiate down the leg which is commonly referred to as sciatica.
Have you ever woken up with a sore neck? The pain is usually on one side of the neck, and you may even walk with your neck tilted towards the other side to ease the pain. There is often a lot of muscle spasm and the neck can be "locked up" with a considerable amount of pain. The condition is called an acute wry neck.
Headaches and migraines can result in chronic, ongoing discomfort which can greatly affect a person's work, sleep, recreational activities and overall quality of life. Cervicogenic headaches, or neck-related headaches are relatively common. They are caused by a neural irritation at one of the segments of the upper neck.
The knee is a condylar joint, meaning that it is not a pure hinge joint like the elbow, but can twist as well. There are lots of ligaments holding the knee together. It also has a cushion in between the joint called a meniscus. The other unique feature is the patella (knee cap), which acts as a mechanical lever for the quadriceps.
I am sure you have heard of the Trojan horse and the great Greek warrior Achilles being brought down by an arrow into the heel. This particular tendon, about the size of your little finger, is the strongest tendon in the body and severing this brought down the great Greek warrior. Thankfully, a complete achilles rupture is quite rare and usually requires treatment of either cast immobilisation or surgical repair.

Ricki is a problem solver, he loves a challenge! He's solved injuries for me that others couldn't. His goal is to make you independent, the fewer sessions the better. Very honourable and refreshing to see. Thanks Rik and keep up the goal to the best.
