Movement Principle
We help people who genuinely want to better the way they move. They have pain, immobility or a desire to live in their optimum body. We work together to create a continuing outcome of reduced pain, injury prevention and the confidence to move more. We know our client's likes and dislikes. We provide calm, comfortable Pilates spaces so that you can focus on your form and breathing. You gain functional strength, improved posture, mobility and balance and the confidence to move how you want to move. During the initial consultation, we'll identify your problems and goals.

We are a movement specialist Pilates studio providing beautiful spaces and intelligent instruction, where you will feel welcomed, inspired and empowered to move regularly. For ten years we've been providing reliable and inspiring environments for people to return to again and again to improve their movement habits and make regular time for their health.
In this studio we have regular group Reformer Pilates classes, Mat Pilates classes and TRX classes, that you can fit in on the way to or from work, or duck out for a quickie on your lunch break. We also have a dedicated space for Studio Sessions - 4 person, tailored Pilates classes - and Private Pilates Sessions.
What it involves: An all over workout on the mat delivered by one of our friendly, expert instructors. You'll use therabands, balls, weights and rollers to get the most out of each exercise. Best for: You are injury free and looking for a well-supervised group workout that's challenging, focused and still a bit of fun.
Some of the benefits I noticed immediately, such as improved mood and energy, while others were subtle and snuck up on me over time. My posture and flexibility are the best they've ever been, but I'm also stronger and more confident. It doesn't feel like something I have to do, it's just part of who I am now.

I have been going to the Movement Principle’s team for four years now. The support, knowledge and care they have shown in their approach over this time through a series of back injuries, recoveries and periods of intense endurance activity is phenomenal - they will support you in every phase! I would recommend a single instructor but every single one has been exceptional! I do also love the incredibly reasonable pricing and common sense approach to accommodating individual needs. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Love this studio! Have been seeing Catherine and Anita for years for semi private sessions and they’ve got me through pregnancies, injuries and post-surgery rehab. Just tried my first reformer class in the city studio and absolutely loved it. Great energy and so much fun!

I was asked to leave a class due to being pregnant. I have done reformer classes at other studios when pregnant and instructors have always made sure i am okay and let me know what exercises i should sit out. There was no warning that it was not suitable for pregnant women. The instructor told me she would contact me after class about refunding my credits, however that never happened.

As soon as I walked into this studio, I immediately felt exciting to start my class. It’s such a beautiful and calming space, I’ve never seen a studio look so pretty. My instructor Lilly was absolutely amazing and made me feel right at home while giving me a great workout. I’d definitely recommend this studio!

These guys know what they are doing and helped improve my core strength dramatically. You work hard but it's not hard work...the staff make it fun...loved my classes with Anita and Sarah!

I have been attending the group classes at the Paddington Movement Principle studio for about 6 months and they are amazing! The classes are challenging but not too exhausting and the teachers are knowledgeable, kind, enthusiastic and incredibly supportive.
