Pilates is a gentle exercise that improves muscle control, increases flexibility, coordination and strength of the whole body without building bulk. I have been searching for an exercise program that I truly enjoy and am happy to commit to. Pilates with Carmel has changed my habits for life for the better. She is an extremely knowledgeable instructor that caters for all levels of fitness. From the first class Carmel made me feel welcome and confident in my ability to achieve results and continue to improve. Pilates Precision is fantastic. There are two things that stand out, first Carmel is an amazing instructor she tailors to every level and is so knowledgeable about the areas of the body to work on and how. Carmel also pays close attention to individuals so you won’t feel like you’re just one of a hundred, she takes the time to get to know you personally. The second is the culture of the studio, I’ve always enjoyed reformer but felt very self conscious at other venues, here everyone is supportive and just down to earth, you’ll see all ages, shapes and sizes and there’s no judgement, Carmel

You have never truly done Pilates without having Carmel as your teacher. I have attended Pilates classes with other businesses here and there but never found a place which really stuck or that I liked. I attended a beginner’s mat session to start with Carmel about two months ago and have now never missed a week. Learning the importance of proper technique from the beginning and having it ALWAYS focused on no matter which class you’re in has helped to continuously shape my Pilates skills without ever compromising my body to injuries. Carmel is the best Pilates instructor I have come across. She takes the time to check your technique whilst she takes you through the work out. I have been using Carmel for the past 10 years and I feel so strong through my core. I thoroughly put that down to great mat and reformer classes. Great to see you back, Carmel. We’ve missed you.

I’ve been attending Pilates classes with Carmel since 2009 and am thrilled to see her back in Brisbane in this beautiful new studio. Carmel has a special gift of being warm and welcoming then helping you work out harder than you planned! ;) I love taking both Carmel’s mat and reformer classes; where she ensures each client is given personal guidance to suit their level and fitness needs. I would highly recommend Precision Pilates Australia. Carmel’s classes offer Pilates for all ages and expertise. Unlike other group Pilates classes, Carmel can adjust the workout to meet your needs. I had suffered with lower back pain and after a couple of classes my pain was relieved and now my body feeling stronger. The atmosphere is very welcoming to all ages with mat classes or small personalised reformer classes. Reformer classes are now my weekly routine thanks to Precision Pilates Australia.

I would recommend Carmel’s Pilates to everyone. Firstly, she is an great instructor who cares about correct technique for maximum benefit and prevention of injury. She is also able to adapt and substitute movements for any injuries you may be carrying.
Secondly, with respect to pilates as a whole, I work in a physical job and find that the class is very effective as a workout but also as a form of active recovery. It strengthens, stretches and works my core. The added bonus is that it is not high impact on my joints.
