Tongue Tie Heard about tongue ties in babies? Are you wondering if your baby might have one? Here are 2 simple checks you can do: When your baby cries, does the whole of their tongue lift up close to the roof of their mouth? When they are asleep, if you gently pull their lower lip. Breathing keeps you alive, and it is something you do without thinking, but did you know that the WAY you breathe can have a MASSIVE impact on your quality of life?
Osteopaths are government registered practitioners, with a minimum of 4 years full time training. Osteopaths are primary care practitioners, which means you do not need a referral from a GP, as osteopaths are trained to determine if you will benefit from osteopathic treatment, or whether you need to be referred on.
Our clinic is located at 32/117 Old Pittwater Road, Brookvale in the Lifestyle Working Building. Visitor underground car parking is available or alternatively free parking for up to 3 hours in Westfield Warringah Mall. The nearest carpark to the Lifestyle Building is the Woolworths ground floor car park.
Breathing keeps you alive, and it is something you do without thinking, but did you know that the WAY you breathe can have a MASSIVE impact on your quality of life? The ideal is you mainly use your diaphragm and only use your neck muscles when you exercise. Many people, though, breathe more using their upper ribs.
When your baby cries, does the whole of their tongue lift up close to the roof of their mouth? When they are asleep, if you gently pull their lower lip down, can you see the underside of their tongue? If the answer to both of these questions is no, your baby might have TOTs (tethered oral tissues) or a 'tongue tie'.
