The Loft in the Mill is located opposite the Olinda Village in the tree-clad hills of The Dandenong Ranges. GPS Systems - Please ensure when entering The Loft in the Mill you specify MADE ROADS ONLY. If your machine does not have this facility, then please AVOID The Old Coach Road and remain driving on Mount Dandenong Tourist Road to Olinda.
Encompassing the entire top floor of The Mill building, The Loft has taken on the role of our Presidential Suite. Total floor space indoors is 74.2 metres square. Reflections of an eighteen candle chandelier can be seen from the fourty two inch guided portrait mirror that sits above the inviting and elegant walnut mantle and gas log fireplace.
A sultry, sensual suite for The Knight and his Fair Lady combining the charm of medieval times with the luxuries of modern day. Sheer silk voiles, velvets, black, chocolate and gold envelopes this suite and as you relax in the enormous black spa at the foot of the royal bed, you are miles away from the world from which you came.
This French style suite opens onto a private north facing courtyard set amongst 'ancient bluestone walls and complete with the signature ratten outdoor furniture. Enter french doors to a beautifully appointed separate lounge with black plush carpet and white walls. There is a gas log fire with elegant white mantle, black velvet wingback armchairs, and large 42' TV/DVD.
The quickest way from Melbourne International Airport is to drive along City Link into Melbourne. Citylink is a tollway and the toll for a one way trip for the distance that you will travel is $6.42. You phone 132 629 and can pay the toll on your credit card up to 24 hours after your trip. Stay on City Link as it crosses the Bolte Bridge and follow the sign to the "South Eastern Suburbs".

I stayed here a couple of weeks ago with a good friend as part of a planned mid-week girls trip. The place was beautiful and staff were so friendly. We received a complimentary upgrade and were given 'The Loft' room for our 1-night stay. We enjoyed the log fire the most, having been out the whole day on walks to coming back to the lovely room and being able to put our feet up in front of a cheerful warm fire. Thank you for the wonderful experience and I look forward to staying here again when I next come to Olinda.

I cannot fault the service or a Loft in the Mill in any way; our experience was beyond perfect. We stayed in the Hathaway and were astounded by the beautiful furnishings. Heather was absolutely wonderful and friendly to deal from the moment we booked and we felt very comfortable and at home. The gardens are spectacular and the continental breakfast provided was delicious. This is definitely a place we will be returning to on anniversaries!! We have been recommending this beautiful place to everyone. Thank you for such lovely stay.

We've had a wonderful night in the Gouverneurs Retreat suite. It was already super cosy and warm when we came in. The whole atmosphere was amazing and very unique. Some shops and restaurants are just a few meters away and there is stunning nature all around. We will definitely go there again. Also big thanks to the housekeeping, you did a great job!

Had a lovely solo getaway for a few days in the Duchess Quarters - well set up and incredibly comfy. The bed was inviting, comfortable and really encouraged you to sleep in as long as you could. The huge spa bath in the delightful bathroom was great after going on long walks in the cold and the gas log fire was perfect for the cold evenings. Donna in reception was welcoming, friendly and made me feel welcome right away. The location is great for travelling around the Dandenongs and I would be happy to stay there again any time I could.

We had the most lovely stay at A Loft in The Mill! Donna and Heather are the most welcoming, accommodating and fun people we’ve ever encountered. They went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfortable, the room spotless, the location right next to town center, and there’s a spa in the room that we made good use of! What’s not to love?

Gorgeous rooms in a great location in Olinda. Lovely Heather and Donna could not have been more helpful with suggestions for how to spend our girls night.
The Loft suite was the perfect size for us three, with a big spa bath, comfy beds and great lounge area, we couldn't have asked for more.
We were all in agreement that we will definitely have to come back to check out the other rooms & spend more time at this great boutique accommodation!
