It involves the preparation, submission and actively monitoring of the planning application, including doing a site inspection, providing relevant documentation, liaising with/monitoring council officers, responding to further information requests, dealing with referral authorities, coordinating public notice, responding to objections, advocating for approval of the application, checking permit conditions and handling correspondence.
