Royal Standard Hotel in West Melbourne is so close to the city you can almost touch it. It is a great place to dine or catch up for a drink. We want our customers to feel like they are in someones home and are relaxed and, above all, happy. Our distinctive venue features a beautiful European style restaurant that has an extensive a la carte menu, consisting of seasonal dishes as well as firm favourites.

Separate to the Restaurant is our Bar, where bar meals are readily available every day and night. All our serves are generously portioned (including our divine desserts) and our Chefs make each meal individually when you order. At Royal Standard Hotel, we aim to give our diners extraordinary food and fantastic customer service without the stuffy environment or exorbitant price tags.

Royal Standard Hotel is the perfect place to celebrate your special event including 21st birthday parties, engagements, business functions, kids' birthdays, etc, etc. We have various packages for 20 to 150 guests and if you can't find a package to suit your taste, we'll create something for you.

My partner and I love this little hidden gem! Consistently have great food and the service there is always wonderful! Very reasonable prices for large portions and the food is always served efficiently.

First visit, definite return on the agenda.
Staff were very welcoming and great service.
Sat out the front, very relaxing.
Had the Pizzas, Hawaiian small and lge, and a The Lot, lge and a Chicken Parma.
Portions are large, will definitely it’s be a “local”

Such a great experience (I’m writing this as a stuffed satisfied customer).
The pub was very homey, and had an old school comfort vibe.
I understand it’s a family run business, with majority of the menu being Italian.
The portion sizes were enormous, which I loved.
Meals were definitely value for money.
We got the polenta chips, seafood pasta and the baked barramundi (which was on special).
The seafood pasta was amazing.
When I come back again (which I will), I will struggle to order something other than the seafood pasta (it was that good).

This is a good inner suburban pub with a great range of beers and plenty of food choices. The menu is mostly Italian with pasta and pizza featuring. The service is excellent and the portions huge. Great pub fare. Decor is bright and clean . I highly recommend this place.

A charming Melbourne family pub with wonderful attentive staff. The meals are well priced with great flavour. Drinks are especially well priced. I believe the tiramasu and gelati is home made. Very yummy. Easy to get there, easy to park, there is an authorised side road dining area - subject to council.
