Burke & Wills Winery is a small family run business in the Heathcote Wine Region, owned and operated by winemaker and music promoter Andrew Pattison and his wife Heather McCormack. We produce a wide range of quality wines with a focus on premium wines from our home vineyard, which have included the 2017 Premiers Award 2015 Vat 1 Shiraz.
Tecnically not yet released (ask nicely and we'll sell you some!) our first release of the home vinyards "Planters Blend" has been awarded 94 points from Halliday and made it into the Aug/Sept issue of his wine companion magazine. This wine is a blend of all of the red varieties grown in our vinyard.

To order wine: email, phone, or mail your order. We will then contact you to confirm payment details and delivery details. There is no delivery charge for orders of a dozen or more bottles in the Melbourne metropolitan, through Macedon Ranges to Bendigo area. Heathcote Shiraz (15% + alc) jam packed with sweet fruity grape flavours and the appealing aromas of toasty new American oak.
Please note that we no longer allow dogs to our events at the winery, including the camping area. This is one of the world's smallest folk festivals, and is more like a private garden party with almost non-stop music and entertainment than a 'festival' per se. The event is held on the Labour Day weekend every March and usually attracts a full house of around 150 people.
Please contact us to arrange Cellar Door. We like to take the time to sit and share some wine with you. In return you will get the opportunity to meet and share some tastings with the wine maker. For the serious wine buffs - join us to try some wines over a simple, (complimentary) farm lunch. In response to demand we can, and do, bring the tastings to you if you think you have a group of wine minded friends.
2016 Burke & Wills Vat 1 Won the Open Shiraz Section 2018, Heathcote Wine Appreciation Group. 2012 Burke & Wills Vat 2 Their quote: Burke & Wills Winery Vat 2 2012 Shiraz. One of the best Shirazes in Heathcote, and that's saying a lot (Heathcote arguably produces the best shiraz in Australia). Vanilla, subdued raspberry, just the right amount of light pepper.
