Welcome to Mia Valley Estate, a boutique family owned vineyard and winery in the renowned Heathcote Region of Victoria, Australia. Established in 1999, we grow mainly Shiraz vines with some Cabernet Sauvignon and so far have produced some of the most amazingly elegant and complex wines from our two vineyards on our property in Mia Mia.

Having a European heritage, wine is something I was brought up with. Gradually my palate grew until it became a passion; one day I knew that I would make my own wine - and so the journey began. I met my wife, Pam, in the late 70s; we were passionate about our sporting pursuits, wining & dining and travelling.
Rich, elegant wine, a luscious harmony of dark cherry fruit and soft oak undertones, deep colour, rich ripe fruit characters, balanced & structured, cellaring will reward if you can wait that long. Bottled 2016, this wine exhibits dark cherry aromas with cherry and raspberry flavours, and a lingering finish.
A traditional Australian style vintage port made when the weather has been perfect and only the richest fruit has been selected. Enjoy after dinner with a cheese platter from now to eternity. Slightly different style to our previous two ports, but once again only produced from the richest fruit in the vineyard.
The Viognier presents lush peach and honeysuckle scents with a round mouth filling texture some hints of nectarine followed by a lingering crisp finish. Pale straw colour with gentle floral notes on the nose and juicy lime on the palate, followed by fresh acidity and an elegant crisp finish. Excellent wine to compliment a dessert of apple or rhubarb pie, pale straw colour with hints of apricot on the palate.

I tasted their Riesling with lunch at the local pub and was smitten. As their cellar door was only 10 minutes away we dropped in to explore further. We sat down and enjoyed a chat and tasting with Pam and Norbert. Shared stories about travel and wines. Norbert has developed a number of Shiraz, he has a nose for subtle differences and varying tastes. They have recently won a number of awards and their are sourced for local and metro events and overseas.

I can't recommend this winery enough! We arrived late on a Saturday afternoon and were greeted with plenty of incredible wine to taste, and lots of friendly discussion! We felt right at home here, and enjoyed every drop of wine - so much so that we each left with a case each! If you're in the area, I highly recommend dropping in! You won't regret it.

Driving home after a trip to Ballarat what better to do than follow road signs to a winery. Now I have done this many times and I think it leads to an open winery with tastnmg maybe 25% of the time. So I almost gave up as the signs seemed to be endless but we got there. The Wines were great the owner was laid back and loved to talk. He proceeded to tell me that he went haves in one vintage with another local who happened to play in the punk band Cosmic Psychos. Im sure he didn’t expect me to know the band but I saw them live the last December and had some songs on rotation. Anyway , this was

I wanted to buy every single bottle I tasted; absolutely magnificent wines done the proper traditional way. Each expression had a uniqueness to it but all were smooth, easy to drink and beautiful. Some of the reserves which are already delicious, rated 92 and 93 points from James Halliday, could be cellared to become absolute perfection.
And this is without mentioning the amazing hospitality from the owners/winemakers Norbert and Pam. We were the only ones there at that time (it was early and stinking hot), we ended up tasting most of
