Services
Spectrum Speech Pathology was originally established when Christine and Gloria recognised a need for a private service of excellence in the area of autism spectrum disorder. This service would offer clinical excellence for children with autism spectrum disorders, speech and language delays, dyspraxia and complex communication issues.
At Spectrum Speech Pathology we are involved in helping families through the process of diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. Our Senior Diagnostic Assessment Team comprises of highly skilled senior speech pathologists who have been conducting Autism Assessments in multi-disciplinary teams for many years.
Assessments can involve formal standardised tests, dynamic assessments using play, conversation and other strategies. Observation of your child's interactions and communication with others eg. These assessments allow us to gain a deeper understanding of your child's strengths and weaknesses and enable us to tailor programs that focus on the unique challenges your child is facing.
Spectrum offers a number of social communication and learning groups tailored to meet your child's specific needs. Spectrum Speech Pathology offers social communication and learning group programs that incorporate a range of frameworks, methodologies and programs that are tailored to meet your child's specific needs.
All therapists at Spectrum Speech Pathology are happy to work with your General Practitioner to provide therapy under a CDM plan. The Chronic Disease Management scheme is initiated by your General Practitioner and available to children and adults with Chronic Care needs. People with Autism are automatically eligible for the CDM because an Autism Spectrum Disorder is a chronic condition.
