My favourite bakery for many years growing up. Recently returned to Adelaide for a visit and a must trip for lunch to the Orange Spot bakery. A big dissapointment. I don't understand why you would have an indoor dining area when you supply no plates, cutlery and coffee in a takeaway cup. Not only that, when we asked it was like we were asking them to donate their kidneys.
Service has a lot to be desired.

Coffee : Sorry 2 out of 5, taste like burn metal
Hot Chocolate : Sorry could be improved, 2 out of 5 taste like a plastic or metal as well.. probably machine? Maybe?
Pies / pastries : Ok just like you would expected from normal bakery, nothing WOW but still OK
Service : Very Poor customer service. The staff rushed us to make an order, no greeting, this is our first time here and we are not familiar with your menus, staff : "What you after?" No smile or hello, or morning? No thanks after spend almost $40 for breakfast.
A bit disappointed with the service during this pandemic causes by covid19

Perhaps don't bother here... A few things... went there as the ratings were good, but very disappointed.
1.excluding one cabinet by the door, there were not prices or labels on ANYTHING in the cabinets or up on the board, so we had no idea of costing on anything or what the hell anything was
2. I wanted to order a coffee as well but we were pushed through so quick that I didn't bother...
3. Vibe was so awful!! We've been to busy places before that still have a great vibe, but this was just like you're an annoyance.
The team weren't warm & inviting at all. The place has a dingy feel that was

Orange Spot is a landmark bakery in Glenelg that has thousands of loyal devotees. They have awards to prove the quality of their delicious baked goods. The queues out the door are also testimony to their tried and true recipes. And there are plenty of modern offerings as Ornge Spot has moved with the times. On the day I visited (the latest of many) the service was a bit slowww but the staff as always, obliging and friendly. The interior is in need of a makeover as it can be rather gloomy in some corners. To be fair though, people overlook the decor as the menu offerings are so scrumptious!
